Escape Monthly GWP & 20% Coupon for London Box!

Escape Monthly is offering this free Orico full-size lotion plus 20% off your subscription for life with coupon code LONDONLOTION.

Just a word of caution: if you're thinking of signing up, I recommend reading the September box review and comments first. The box was disappointing for lots of subscribers (myself included), and judging from the comments, it looks like it's a bit of a hassle to cancel this subscription once you sign up. Here's hoping the London box is better than last month's box!

Ooh, I am so tempted! I love the concept of this box, and some of the boxes have been a lot of fun. I cancelled a couple of months back and was really glad that I did, especially after the disappointing Puerto Rico box.

The hand cream makes it really tempting though, as well as the reduced price. I just wish they would focus on more product type items that might entice me into repeat purchases or just a great new item I might not have purchased for myself. I’m actually fine with the books — I travel a lot — but some of the other items just seem gimmicky with no intrinsic value (like the straw mini-hat).

I appreciate you posting the warning. There are so many subscription boxes now sometimes people don’t think to check if the box is actually what it says it will be. If there is something I want in the box I will swap for it, but I will never subscribe to them again.

I was tempted for just one second to resubscribe but I totally agree with you…I’ll just swap or purchase if there’s anything I can’t live without. I won’t get sucked back in this box again.

They sent me an e-mail to rejoin after cancelling. They offered me the lotion and 30% off of the subscription for life. I wanted London so I am giving them another try if it doesn’t work and I dont like Nov destination, Ill be cancelling again.

They sent me the same e-mail. I’m not taking them up on it, though. I got Puerto Rico for $4 through Rue La La (deal + credit) and was OK with it for $4 but wouldn’t have wanted to pay anywhere near full price.

Canceling went like this. I e-mail them to cancel (before the box arrives, actually, because I really don’t want to be charged for the next month). They get back to me and it doesn’t really take too long, maybe a day. I wait a few days, then check my account, It still says “active” and there are two subscriptions (?) listed, though they appear to be identical.

I write back to them and ask about this. They delete one of the duplicate entries but a few days later, it still says “active.”

I write back to them again. They say it will change over to “inactive” after I receive the box. It takes a bit longer than that, but it does change over to “inactive” maybe 2-3 days after I receive the box.

So it took multiple contacts but I did get responses to all my messages and the sub did eventually go inactive.

For me whats really easy to cancel, I email them, they replied to me and told me my account was now cancel. I went to the website and sure enough it was.
I join back cause it is a bit less and I really wanted London but I probably wont keep it for a long time. Hopefully they would redeem themselves this month.

I received the same email and decided to pass on it. I will be checking out their offers for London. We are replacing our front doors and found out it will cost more than anticipated because the way the concrete is sloped. Who knew?
