50% Off Your First Hello Fresh Box!

So, they made it right. They refunded my money for the meal I didn’t order, and they gave me a discount on my next box. They didn’t have to do both, but they did, and I will try them again.

I have been emailing back and fourth with customer service since last thursday morning. I did not understand that I had to select my meals by wednesday night at 11:59. a lady named maureen assured me that she could help me fix this problem. today I got an email saying that she would be unable to help me, and they’re sending us shrimp instead of what we asked for, which was the pork chops. we don’t eat shellfish! This meal will be going in the garbage, and so is my opinion of hellofresh. also, last week, they sent us rotten cod and banged up vegetables. so incredibly disappointed. That’s a whole lot of money to waste.

Is there a way to use this 50% off code now and the $40 card later I wonder? Guess I have to read the fine print…

Anyone have any experience with this service? I did 2 meals of Plated a while back and wasn’t really that impressed. How does this compare?

I just signed up for this last week. I had a $40 off code that I got with another subscription box, so I decided to give it a try. My first delivery was suppose to be today between 8am-8pm and it’s now after 8pm. I’ve been home all day, so I know I didn’t miss it. They also never sent a tracking email, which is kind of odd. All I got was an order confirmation. I do understand that things happen but I’m a little disappointed since this is the first delivery and it’s also a food delivery. I’m sure it’ll all be fine when it actually does come. Has anyone else experienced delivery on a different day than what they had chosen?

So I just signed up for this but used a $40/off coupon code I found on retailmenot.com, but I was surprised when I had access to choose my recipes and nearly all of my options were 700-800+ calories a meal. Is it just me, or is that a lot for one meal?

I bet they’re trying to compete better with Plated where they’re in the same markets (I can get Plated, but not Hello Fresh, at least last time I checked). Plated always has coupons out, a lot of the time for a free box where you just pay for shipping.

It looks like their price has increased recently as well. Believe it used to be 59.00 a box for 2 people and now showing 69.00 a box for 2 people (x3 meals in box ).

They seem kind of desperate lately. There were $40 off coupons in Bestowed (kind of makes sense) and Glossybox (don’t really see the connection). And now this.

I didn’t take them up on the offer. Most of their vegetarian options are full of mushrooms. Ick. Anyway, I like grocery shopping!
