Untoxicating Beauty Box Subscription Review – July 2014

Untoxicating Beauty Box Subscription Review – July

Untoxicating Beauty is a new eco-friendly beauty subscription box. Unlike other boxes that send a variety of brands each month, Untoxicating Beauty sends out several products from one eco-friendly brand each month. It’s a little riskier if you don’t like the brand, but if you do – it can be a great value, and a great way to discover new brands!

One thing that Untoxicating Beauty needs to work on is shipping their boxes a little sooner. (This month there was a note apologizing for the delay with the July shipment).

Untoxicating Beauty Box Subscription Review – July 2014 Card

Each box comes with a letter detailing the brand featured in the box and why it is “untoxicating.” This month they are featuring 100% Pure! (I really like 100% Pure, so as soon as I saw that they were July's brand, I didn't care the box was late!)

Untoxicating Beauty Box Subscription Review – July 2014 Primer

100% Pure Luminous Primer - FULL SIZE! Value $25

I'm not very brand loyal when it comes to primer - I'll use whatever I have from subscription boxes. That may change thanks to this one from 100% Pure. It works just as well as the others I've used, and does a good job of minimizing pores. And I love that it works well and is healthy - I guess if there's one makeup product you want to make sure is free of potentially harmful ingredients - it's the primer that stands between your skin and all your other makeup!

Untoxicating Beauty Box Subscription Review – July 2014 Scrub

100% Pure Pomegranate Antioxidant Hydration SPF 20 - FULL SIZE! Value $26

Organic Purist Berry Brightening Facial Scrub - FULL SIZE! Value $38

This Hydration SPF is more of a sunscreen than a moisturizer. It's great to use for sunscreen, and I love the scent, but it won't be replacing my daily moisturizer.

Sometimes 100% Pure products have scents that make it hard for me to believe they are all natural! This Berry Brightening Facial Scrub smells exactly like a grape jolly rancher and I love it! I don't know if I'm going to be able to justify spending $38 on a facial scrub, but I have a feeling I will become addicted to this one!

Verdict: I paid $35 for this box and received $89 worth of products that I love - I think this is my favorite Untoxicating Beauty box yet! Even though I already love the 100% Pure brand, I hadn't tried their skincare line before, so this was still a great discovery box for me.

What did you think of the July Untoxicating Beauty Box?

It goes nicely with the 100% pure nail polish from the BB Prestige box. This box is on my list of boxes to try.

Sneaky Burrito

Sometimes this box is tempting for me and sometimes not. I’ve tried a couple of products from 100% Pure (mascara and a face wash) and I haven’t liked them (they didn’t work for me), but then maybe I shouldn’t be ready to discount an entire brand based on two products. After all, I like Neutrogena foundation and body wash but their sunscreen gives me a (bad) rash.

The sizes seem nice this month — actually enough to test to see if you like the products. I think I will keep this box in mind in case I cancel something else in the future.
