My expectations was to high for this box – my fault – When I thought of full size items, I did not think of 1 bar, or 1 towel. I’m grumpy about the value being lower then I expected, and the items I wont be using in the box. Not every box is perfect, nor do I expect it to be. Yet I was hoping there would be less food items, and higher value items in this box. I have other different subs I spend around the amount on, and if I dont like a few of the items, I’m okay because of the value of the other items make up, for the value of the items I dont like.

I’m surprised by the box considering all the items they had featured on the website. Maybe that was a wish list but there was beautiful jewelry and more yoga type items, like blocks, straps, and so forth. I think I will stick with it a month or two, to keep the 20% off the life sub i have but I am disappointed. I was hoping there would be more value! And at the very least more yoga equipment. Maybe they need to space it out so as to not give all the goods away at once, but for the price I’m not impressed. And i would be livid if i spent $45 on this box. We’ll see….

I am with you. I was disappointed in this box and posted that on their facebook page. For a first box, I expected more, along the lines of the French Box. I felt that the value was not there and other than the spray, did not find it yoga themed. I am giving it one more month and if it doesn’t improve, I will cancel. The candle was very small as was the washcloth. It is expensive for what you get. Although I like priority two day shipping, I would rather they put the money in negotiating for better value items.

WOW!! First box is amazing. GREAT value & intro to new brands. Only one “yoga specific” item in the box–the rest of it is just plain cool. So happy you introduced me to this–def a keeper.

Here are spoilers:
*Buddha Nose Awaken Yoga Mat Spray (2 oz)
*Rooted Beauty Raspberry Citrus Invigorating Facial Wipes (25 ct)
*One People Towels on-the-go alternative to paper towels (washcloth-sized; includes 30% off coupon on purchase of 2 or more)
*Teatulia tea medley (7 bag sampler)
*Emmy’s dark cacao macaroons (2 oz)
*Vedabar Pittabar nutrition bar (one bar, 2 oz size)
*Big Dipper Wax Works Beeswax Aromatherapy Tin (travel size candle)
So interesting mix of lifestyle, food, and home items. No idea of the value, will wait for a review somewhere to see that. I did use the 20% off coupon so I only paid $36. I’m pretty sure I’ve had Emmy’s macaroons before (maybe a different flavor), and I’ve seen Teatulia tea at Whole Foods but haven’t bought it (too expensive!), but most of these items are new to me.
Snacks are GF and vegetarian although the pittabar is not vegan (has ghee).
This is really my kind of stuff (I don’t care about GF one way or the other) so I will probably stick around for awhile, even if the value isn’t huge.

While waiting for one of my cats to eat (long story), I did the math:
spray $10
tea $3
towel around $10
pittabar $3.50
candle $5
cookies $3
wipes $6
Most of these are based on the lowest Amazon prices I could find. Works out to $40.50. MSRPs for the products may be higher (seems like values are often inflated in subscription boxes).

I just noticed the 1st yogi surprise spoiler on their FB wall. It is a Awaken Yoga Mat & Deodorizing Spray – It is a mult use spray 🙂 – When I looked it up online it says: Spritz down your yoga mat after practice, and use it as a deodorant for under arms and other areas. Also can as a purifying spray to cleanse away germs on hands, after subway and airplane rides or sharing computer desktops.

I saw that, too.
I don’t normally sweat during yoga, but I sweat like crazy doing Focus T25. And sometimes I follow Focus T25 with yoga. So my mat gets sweaty, anyway. I could really use something to freshen it up. So I am happy about the spoiler.

My teen son’s yoga mat could use that. He has yoga once a week as part of his cross country practice. Imagine a sweaty boy who ran 8-10 miles doing yoga. Gross. I’m still holding off until I see a review or two. I think the concept is excellent.

I signed up! I noticed there was a different code on their website, but I used the code you provided because I wanted to make sure you got the referral credit.
Sounds like it could be a great sub. I’m just really hoping it doesn’t turn out to be really food heavy. I especially dislike it when these boxes just send out lots of heavy drinks. Urth box is one of those that sounded great, but ended up just being snacks and drinks.
Crossing my fingers for a great lifestyle box with a good value. 🙂

Took me a days of thinking about whether or not to sign up for this box, yet I finally did. – If at least of the items on their site are in the box, I’ll be happy with it. I’m just hoping that this box will be full of interesting items that some other boxes don’t have. With more interest on health, well being rather then mostly being filled with yoga items. I also hope the value will be good. —- I’ve just gotten to the point, that I’m looking for an interesting box that does not have a lot of skin care, and no makeup products. — Hope this will be a winner for me, if not at least I can say I tried this box out.

I think I also need to stop reviewing and reading the reviews… it is making me broke signing up for all the cool boxes. Also, love love love the swap site, makes it worth it to get to trade for stuff you really want! Just subscribed to the yogi box. This one is scheduled to have first box ship October 1st it says!

You know, I really shouldn’t have. But I do yoga every single day. I like that any food included would be vegetarian (I have been vegetarian for 21 years). I could use some mat spray. I could use a new candle or two. I liked the jewelry in the pictures. And it’s not another beauty box. Granted, I will now have to decide on something else to cancel. But at least 6 full sized items (and maybe more) for $36 (because of course I used the code) — including free shipping — sounds good to me. Plus, my birthday is in October and their first box ships October 1. I will choose to think of this as a nice little gift to myself. This one sounds like it was made just for me.

Does anyone have any idea of the approximate value on this box?

Oh geez, I have to stop following you. I just signed up. LOL!!! Seriously – keep them coming! I’m done with beauty boxes – love these kind! Have you heard of apocabox? It’s a new one – I just got one I will blog about in a few days. Survival type stuff – it’s awesome!

A survival box?? I wonder if it will be better than the Quarterly Great Outdoors box…

Correction on my comment about the Great Outdoors box – I see now that it is a new one – so I obviously don’t know if it will be good! I was thinking of The Survival Box that they now have on sale at Quarterly. That one is a joke, imo, all that stuff looks super cheap and not at all useful.
Great Outdoors looks interesting though! I’m just too addicted LOL!

It’s a thousand times better! That one is a complete joke. I’m waiting for my mom to get hers before I post my pics, but it had tons of quality products. Have you seen the show Fat Guys in the Woods on the Weather Channel yet? The box was created by Creek Stewart who is the weather channel’s official preparedness expert. I took a class from him last year and he is amazing. Everything is quality!

I like this box – Thinking of canceling my blush mystery box for now ( I have to much makeup/hair stuff ) …. just to get this box.

If it was less expensive, I’d consider the first box. But with that price, I’d rather wait to see what’s in the first box.
