Sneaky Burrito

I got mine today. I’m feeling so-so about it.

Got:

Hannah (greyish-green creme)
Amy (blue/grey/green creme)
Dawn (yellow creme, I have this one already)
Maya (light orangeish/pinkish shimmer)
Faye (tan? with a subtle shimmer)

Also got a pot of black gel eyeliner with no brush (but I have a couple of brushes so that’s OK), blotting papers (I will definitely use these), and a swatch thing that I probably won’t use.

Naturally I would get a duplicate of the color I am least likely to use! I have some that are similar but not identical to Amy.

Sadly, my favorite thing is the Phoebe I used a coupon code to get for $1.20 with my order.

I mean, yeah, I can see paying $25 for the box. But I’m not super excited about it. I probably won’t do another one of these for a long time.

This is my first Julep box ever. i was very excited since this is like the biggest and most famous nail polish sub. I got exactly the same box as you. I am pretty disappointed in the colors they sent out and the make up stuff. I just signed up for Squarehue yesterday. It’s only $5 for the first month, and you can cancel anytime. I also received a coupon code for a free surprise collection in email after I placed order. I then email them about it, and they said they will definitely honor the code and make sure I will receive the surprise item. $5 for 3 polishes and a surprise item? Sounds way better than this Julep mystery box already!! In case anyone want to receive free surprise collection for squarehue, the code is SURPRISE14. Enter it at check out. =)

This was, sadly, the worst Julep MB I’ve ever gotten. Usually their MBs are awesome. This one was really underwhelming….

Well I received my 100 Degree Mystery Box (early!). I had also opted for the $14.99 add on and used a $10 coupon so I paid $29.98. I also was one of the winners of the Ice Box. I’m glad I won because the contents of the Mystery box and add-on weren’t what I was expecting. In my mystery box I received 4 polishes (Zoe, Max, Lynn and Gloria). Three out of the four were orange tones! I also got Blank Canvas Eye Primer and Lip Gloss in Posh. I also received a Nail Moisture Mask Packet. This totals EXACTLY $100 from their regular (non-maven) pricing.

In my add-on I received two polishes (Tatiana and Nadia). One is also again orange. I also got the Konjac Sponge and a Julep Color Nail Fan. Plus a some forget-me-not seeds. $48 Julep Retail (non-Maven value).

I’m glad I won the Ice Box. It contained a $100 GC to Julep, A minty colored bag, Nail & Cuticle Serum, Luxe Lip Conditioning Treatment, nail polish Paris.

Anyone get else get anything different? I was hoping for more cremes as I prefer those (Like Jet and Michelle) but I guess I’ll just buy them with the GC. Not sure what to do with all that excess stuff I know I won’t use.

Has anyone received their 100 Degree Mystery Box? I am DYING to know what’s in it. I ordered but it isn’t “scheduled” to arrive until Friday and I just might DIE from the anticipation.

I received my box today. This is my first julep box. I was pretty disappointed at first. I was expecting summery colors. Mine were all darker fall colors. I just finished swatching them and almost all the colors are growing on me. I also got black gel eyeliner, a sponge and oil blotting papers.

I received mine this weekend and was very disappointed 🙁 5 nail polishes (none from my style profile of bombshell): pukey greenish color, copper/brownish color, chartreuse color, shimmery light pink color, turquoise. I will probably only wear the turquoise and donate the rest. Also got the ink gel pot, blotting papers (I have dry skin, not oily) and useless plastic sticks to paint my different nail polishes on. Totally not worth $25 for one nail I sort of like and eyeliner that I can only use if I buy an eyeliner makeup brush. I hope for everyone else’s sake they have variations of this box. Between this box and my welcome box being a dud, I decided to cancel 🙁

I ordered this on Monday. I also did the $14.99 add on and the $9.99 add on. I’m excited to try this brand out. I didn’t want to commit to another monthly box. I love the idea of purchasing a mystery box every so often. I’m glad this was available to non-subscribers. Now lets hope the super slow DHL does not lose my package, like they have with my ipsy bags in the past.

Also if anyone has wanted to try the Mirenesse makeup. They currently have a free trial on a lot of their items. You just pay a S&H fee per item. Most of their makeup is 40+ a shot so this is a cheap way to try out their stuff for about 10 bucks a item.. They have some pretty good flash sales on too. I bought some of their items when they were on Hautelook. I like it so far. A lot of their lip items were in hautelooks lip makeup bag and I loved their red lipstick. Just thought I’d share the sale for those who wanna try their stuff on the cheap 🙂 well cheaper…. Lol

Yes I thought so. I placed 3 orders spent right under 200…. Yikes lol but I got a lot of makeup… Did a few trial pieces and some flash sales, also got a few freebies. I joined the VIP just so I could avoid paying shipping. You also get a 20% discount as a VIP member. It’s 26 dollars for VIP or free if your spending over 100. I paid the 26 on my cc only because I wanted to pay the rest with paypal and you can’t pay for membership with paypal 🙁 otherwise I would have gotten VIP for free. When you sign up for there news letter they said you a welcome code, mine was expiring in two days so I used that and got 50% off 3 of my items! So it really was a pretty good deal for mirenesse makeup.
I hope I like their products!

I just ordered it, and got the 14.99 mystery add on. I used the 10 off code and got both for 29.98 . This is my first mystery box. I’ve been thinking about canceling julep an using my 20 dollars towards a jewelry sub. I think I’ll use up the rest of my Jules an then cancel

.does anyone know how to use your Jules for regular items in the store or can you only use them when it’s time to pick your monthly items,?

There’s a link under the “Shop” tab to the “Jule Box” section. There you choose to use your points on the items shown.

I bought their last mystery box (seems like just a few weeks ago) and was pretty disappointed. I got a bunch of polishes I’d never wear – glitter, glitter, olive, glitter. I gave them all away to girls at work and sons’ GFs.
So I am resisting this mystery box. Yes! Resisting!

Thanks for the promo tip below for $10 off an add on polish. Just bought the August secret special, then was going to add a pink crete until I saw a pretty one in the add on options, so chose the Queen purple glitter one instead at full price & added a nice pink creme in the pop-up add on options. So $31 overall w/ 2 polished that I have been lusting after added. Boom! Being relatively new, thanks for the warning on repeats. I should be good for awhile…

I couldn’t resist this one… It’s my first mystery box from Julep so I hope I’m not disappointed! Also glad to read in the comments that non-subscribers can buy these too! I’ll stick to these for my fix when my sub ends next month. 🙂

I thought that these mystery boxes were only for Julep subscribers so I didn’t think I’d ever be able to get any of their gorgeous colors without signing up for a subscription which I didn’t want to do because I’ve heard horror stories of trying to cancel. Needless to say since I realized anyone can order one of these I snagged one! I think this is a great way to be able to enjoy their products without having to commit to their subscription. Can’t wait to see what’s in store.
