I just received the package a little ago. I have to say that my first impression is a certain disappointment because of the sloppiness of the packaging. The box is somewhat squashed and badly taped. The Mistery Sample set definitively is great to get for free, but not worth $10-besides, both products were squeezed inside the little plastic bag, which does give a bad effect at first sight. The book hasn’t arrived at the best condition either.
I am looking forward to use the products I bought and hopefully my first monthly box will be a palate cleanser for this not so great experience.

I made a Birchbox purchase and entered the promo code for the book. It took the code, didn’t give any sort of message that they were out but my order didn’t show it either. Did anyone else enter the promo code but didn’t see the book listed with your order or was it listed?

A lot of times when you enter a gwp coupon code at Birchbox, it will let you know the coupon was applied but nothing will show up in your cart. I’ve been paranoid a few times and reached out to customer care, and they’ve assured me the bonus item would ship with my order. So, you should be getting the book even though it didn’t appear in your order confirmation. But you can always reach out to Birchbox customer care to double check – they are always really helpful! 🙂

I just placed my order for this book, I can’t wait I love Mindy! I used my BB points. Also if u use your points and you don’t spend in increments of 10 you lose your points So if you spend 42 your charged 50 in points. I don’t think it’s fair, that’s a waste of points especially considering you can have an odd number of points in their system.
