Batch Nashville Subscription Box Review & Coupon - August

Batch Nashville is a monthly subscription box that sends you local goods from Nashville (it’s primarily a food box). I subscribed to Batch Nashville for a while, and decided to re-subscribe. (I love local boxes!)

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included and it gives you more background on each of the makers.

Batch Nashville Subscription Box Review & Coupon - August 2014 Salsa

Ousley Ouch Salsa in Mild - Value $6

Walker Feed Co. Honeysuckle Sour Mix - Value $13

These items are both hits for me. I used the salsa with my morning omelet and loved it (I can pretty much only handle mild salsa). And this drink mix is perfect for our bar. Plus I love the simple ingredient list: Water, Fresh Squeezed Juices, Pure Cane Sugar, Tennessee Honey

Nashville Chocolate and Nut Company Monkey Krunch - Value $5

Nashville Sight Seer Map - Value $4?

I can't eat the Monkey Krunch because of food allergies - but as soon as I read "chocolate covered espresso beans" I knew my husband would love it!

This Urban Fishing Holes guide is an illustrated map and guide details some of Trent Summar's favorite fishing spots in Nashville. We won't be able to use it - but I do like the concept of the Nashville Sight Seer project: there are lots of different illustrated guides from different authors/experts. The goal is to help you see some sights and places you may have not considered before!

Batch Nashville Subscription Box Review & Coupon - August 2014 Lip Balm

TruBee Beeswax Lip Balm - Value $8 total

This lip balm reminds me of Burt's Bees lip balm a lot (it has the same cooling peppermint essential oil), but the texture of this balm is a lot smoother so it has a bit of a gloss finish. I love it and I'm so glad they included two of them!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $36. I paid about $29 for this box, so I'm happy with the value. In general with food and local boxes, I don't subscribe for a high value box - it's more about the curation. As long as I received more than what I paid for I'm happy! And these brands are all new to me!

What do you think of the August Batch Nashville box?

I wish Nashville shipped to Canada! I don’t get why the Memphis box and the Charleston boxes do and Nashville does not! 🙁

It’s a nice touch when local boxes include something that is clearly linked to their city (as in obviously from there versus a product made there that wouldn’t be as obvious). It makes it feel like a thoughtfully curated box versus food you could randomly order on Amazon. The fishing map is quite unique since most folks visiting the city probably know nothing about other recreational options beyond music.
