Threaded Canvas T-Shirt Subscription Box Review - June 2014 Card

Each box comes with a card detailing each item included and the artist behind it.

Threaded Canvas T-Shirt Subscription Box Review - June 2014 Tee

King Muse Tee by Gary Logan Hobdy - Value $25

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these shirts - they are 100% cotton, super soft and pretty thick too - no sheer thin fabric.

Threaded Canvas T-Shirt Subscription Box Review - June 2014 Tee

Watery Grave Tee by Catalin Plugaru, Xod03 - Value $25

As far as sizing goes, we were expecting American Apparel shirts (AKA runs on the small side), but these shirts are more standard sized. (We picked the regular size option, but there also is a fashion sized option).

Threaded Canvas T-Shirt Subscription Box Review - June 2014 Tiger

Tiger's Vibe Tee by Vlad Isac - Value $25

Threaded Canvas T-Shirt Subscription Box Review - June 2014 Art

Come With Me Art Print by Heather Landry of SandPaperDaisy - Value $15

Cloth Print by Robert Austin - Value $5

Threaded Canvas T-Shirt Subscription Box Review - June 2014 Sticker

King Cuddles Sticker by Gary Logan Hobdy - Value $3

Threaded Canvas Button - Value $4

Verdict: I'm very impressed with the value of this subscription - I can't believe you get three shirts plus 3 art pieces for only $27. And this is officially my husband's favorite new subscription (He loves tees as much as I love maxis).

What do you think of Threaded Canvas?

Does anyone know if Threaded Canvas is still open? I placed an order and am having trouble getting in contact with anyone.

I somehow ended up with three of the same box. I thought I ordered for me, hubby and daughter. Who knows what I did but I three of the exact boxes. Hubby wasn’t happy he was looking forward to his box. I think I fixed though. I didn’t bother returning anything because really can you ever have too many cool tees? Well of course not

I would recommend that everyone check their order status. On another post today, someone commented that they thought Threaded Canvas had forgotten about their order and couldn’t get in touch with them. I’m glad she posted that, because the same thing happened to me today! I agree with the gal that commented… They seem to be backlogged with orders and now can’t keep them straight. I sent them a nice email simply asking what the status of my order was. Instead of replying, I was sent an order confirmation only AFTER asking where my order was. If you don’t receive your shipment confirmation this week, contact them. They are supposed to ship the first week of the month.

Hi Ashley,

This is Kelsey from Threaded Canvas. I just wanted to make sure I responded to this comment even though we’ve already spoken.

We did not forget about anyone or their order, due to high quantity of orders we received, we had to ship the orders later than expected. We do apologize for the wait on your end, but we wanted to make sure everyone’s box is made to the highest quality before we send it out to them.

Thanks again for your patience!

I wonder if their price will go up when they get popular? They really are a steal of a deal just for t shirts to be 3 for $20.

I got my first box in June and in love! Fantastic value and I loved all of the artists designs featured in the box. I am very excited about July’s box as it should be here right around my birthday!

I wanted to order one for me and hubby but I guess you can only get one subscription. Bummer

Cyndi – Send them an email. I’ll bet they will they will make a way to sign your hubby up. They haven’t got their site fine tuned yet. I had to send an email to change sizes. But they got right back to me. They were super helpful and polite.

I also subscribed to Threaded Canvas. I couldn’t resist the idea of showcasing artists on t-shirts! My shirts were very well made and the fabric is a cotton blend. The fabric is not flimsy. The weight feels comparable to high end t-shirts that I own. I really love the prints on the shirts, although I had to wear the one with the coffin on it first to accustom myself to it. lol I didn’t have any major problems, especially considering that this is their first box. I did request no white t-shirts but one of them was white. When I emailed them to change my size I mentioned it but told them that I wanted to keep it. I ordered XL because I like roomy, but these are a little roomier than I expected so I changed to XL in woman’s. I hope that I didn’t make a mistake. Their customer service is excellent, by the way. I think that it’s a very good value even without the extras. The candy was a nice touch. I’m hoping for that beautiful jellyfish print to show up on a dark blue shirt in my future, but I can’t complain!

Threadedcanvas is my fave subscription box. I teach art so these fun shirts are a great addition to my wardrobe. Ones I don’t think i will wear will make fantastic gifts. I also collect buttons and stickers, and Liz you are right, you cannot beat the price!

Liz: A bit off topic …. I found a new box online and b4 I’d even consider ordering I thought I’d ask u about it > outoftheboxsampler . com – sounds interesting – yet I’m really into value these days, and it’s very difficult to ad unknown box to the ones I already have since i’m getting what I consider a lot of boxes

I ordered the out of the box, too. I haven’t received it yet, but when I googled it, it got mostly good (actually great) reviews. I believe that it’s mostly handmade items and they have a good many contributors, different ones each month. I can’t wait to see mine. Most reviews start with, “It smelled so good when I opened it”. Most, if not all, contributors sell on etsy, so I’m hoping that they are trying to attract business meaning they should be sending good stuff.

I just got it today, for the first time, out of the box sampler. It had a lot of soap and candle things. A couple food items, a few jewelry items, a couple cool magnets. Lots of items, I liked it a lot.

Thank U — It looks like a fun box – Do u think the value is worth it? As far as jewelry …. is it mainly earrings or necklaces or a combination?

Heather

Do you get the crew neck or other options? I want to sign up but i hate crew neck shirts, i saw they have options for v-neck or tank top but i cant find any pictures to see what they look like. I even emailed them and posted on facebook without a reply yet. I think these look amazing!!

Hey chica! What was their reply? Did they send you pics of the tank and v neck options? I’m pretty curious about those.

I ordered the women’s fit (there’s a size chart on the Threaded Canvas website). Even though I’m a 38DDD and sometimes have trouble with fitted tees, these fit perfectly. The inside logo says 100% cotton. I’m diggin these tees (already have worn two of them). I also love the jellyfish print. It’s already on my wall! Sticker is cute and button is okay. The fabric piece (mine is different – it’s the striped one on their website) I’m not sure what you’re supposed to do with it. Frame it? Sew it on something? I could do without it. I’ll stay subbed for a while.

I have the same box, but mine is for women’s, the art I received is the same. The t-shirt fabric for women is synthetic, extremely thin, and does not take color well, all the art is very washed out. I ordered extra large in size as I like my t-shirts roomy and it was tight, more like a medium fit. I canceled my subscription. I hope they reconsider their t-shirts for women. I think this subscription is great for men.

Are you planning on swapping out your box? I would be willing to purchase it from you. I actually, like super thin t’s and don’t mind washed out art work… Feel free to email me.

Hey, this is Rob from Threaded Canvas

I wanted to take a moment to clarify a few things, and hopefully resolve any issues you might have had.

In about mid June, we added a sizing chart to our website with pictures aswell as height and weight measurements.

“Women’s Fashion Fit” is similar to Juniors, while our newly added “Women’s Regular Fit” is made of a thicker cotton and is not as tight fitting.

We provide free no questions asked return shipping on exchanges for sizing issues.

It looks like somehow, the website didn’t register which fit you chose Rebecca. We’re sending an email to you right now so that we can get the correct size to you.

I had almost the same exact experience. I ordered the woman’s XL, and it was too small for me. I didn’t love what I received enough to be willing to pay an extra $6 for an XXL. I cancelled, and gave the shirts away to family.

Robert

Hey Caitlin

Since your sign up, we’ve added a few more sizing options and have added a sizing chart for better clarity.

I’ve sent you a message so that we can get the correct sizes to you.

Thanks

I ordered the 2XL and mine are 100% cotton with good transfer.

I love the tees and the jellyfish print is GORGEOUS! If it was one shirt and a couple prints every month I might go for it but I can’t imagine needing 3 new shirts every month! Maybe if we could switch sizes every other month my fiance and I could split it!

Reply ButtonReply

Tacie

You could probably do that. There is a spot to update your preferences.

Jamie

Definitely subscribing my husband. He loves threadless tees and I will love the art pieces.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Clarification. These are not from Threadless (which I also love) these shirts are from a different company Threaded.

I’m glad you pointed that out! I’m still going to give it a try. Excuse my scatterbrain, my daughter just had a series of neurosurgeries and we are all very exhausted around her
