Horror Block Subscription Box Review - July

Horror Block is a brand new subscription box from Nerd Block. As soon as Nerd Block announced this box we signed up - my husband loves horror movies. (I can't watch scary movies though - watching The Walking Dead is my max scariness!).

The Subscription Box: Horror Block

The Cost: $19.99 plus shipping (Shipping is $8.75 to Canada, $9.50 to US, $12.50 Worldwide)

The Products: Every Horror Block comes with a custom t-shirt (in your size) and 5-6 epic items for you to tear into!

Ships to: US, Canada, and Worldwide!

Check out my Nerd Block reviews and Loot Crate reviews!

Horror Block Card

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review - July 2014 Walking Dead

The Walking Dead Michonne's Pet 2 - Value $10

We love the Walking Dead, so this was a great item to find in the box!

Horror Block Subscription Box Review - July 2014 Funko

FUNKO Horror Classics Vinyl Figures Mystery Minis - Value $10

Two FUNKO items in a box is always a good thing!

Horror Block Subscription Box Review - July 2014 Tee

Freddy T-Shirt - Value $18?

In general I think Nerd Block shirts run a little large. (They are made with 100% Cotton and hold up well in the laundry).

Horror Block Subscription Box Review - July 2014 Stickers

Playful Gorilla Gelaskins Stickers - Value $12

Blood Red Soap - Value $2

I'm personally grossed out by this soap, but I guess some might enjoy it for pranks?

Horror Block Subscription Box Review - July 2014 Magazine

Rue Morgue Magazine - Value $10

Rue Morgue is a publication exclusively devoted to horror in culture and entertainment.

Verdict: We paid $30 for this box and received about $60 worth of products. I think this is a great first box from Horror Block in terms of value, and my husband loves the tee and Funko items, so we got our money's worth.

What do you think of the first Horror Block?

I’m really glad that Nerd Block decided to do themed boxes with their Horror Block. I agree that this first box is a great start and I’m already eagerly waiting for the next box. I also agree that these boxes are a bit pricey. I had to give up my subscription to the Nerd Block classic as buying two of these boxes every month is too much. I still think the Nerd/Horror Blocks are a better value in general and have better stuff than the Loot Crate boxes although the later are cheaper.

I got this for my 15 year old son the minute I saw your first post about it – the price is pretty high, but totally worth it for the huge smiles it got out of that kid. I will definitely keep this one going…..now I have to find out where to buy the rest of the Walking Dead figures . We got the “girl w a bike” one, but I want Rick!

I saw them at Barnes and Noble and hot topic.

My boyfriend & I are collecting the POP! Game of Thrones figures. So far we have seen the largest collection at Barnes & Noble & Hot Topic in the mall. You probably can order them online but there is something about looking at them in person & picking out which one’s you want to take home. Haha. =)

Would love this box, but the $10 shipping is what prevents me from getting it…

This is the best thing to ever happen to me. I JUST discovered Box of Dread and got excited about signing up for that closer to halloween but this one seems like an even better value and I want everything I see. I love everything horror. This is amazing, I hope they do a coupon code in the future, I’m not a fan of the $30 even though it seems like a fair value.
