Citrus Lane Subscription Box Review & $20 Coupon – July Match

Match Stacks from Tree Hopper Toys - Value $19.99

A week or two ago I got an email from Citrus Lane letting me know I could pick out one of the items in my July box (they usually do this every month). There were a few versions of these Match Stacks, and I picked the Backyard Creatures! I'll be gifting these to my cousin, and I think they're a great gift - the wooden discs are really well made, and the whole set is made in America!

Citrus Lane Subscription Box Review & $20 Coupon – July Tractor

John Deere Monster Treads - Value $16

This will make another great gift item!

Citrus Lane Subscription Box Review & $20 Coupon – July Purlisse

Plum Mash Ups - Value $1

Pure-lisse SPF 30 Sunscreen – .5 oz Value $16

Purlisse is officially haunting subscription boxes - it's everywhere! (I can always use more SPF though, and I like the brand and the formula, so I'm not complaining - I just want to know what's going on!)

Verdict: I subscribe to this box primarily to get great baby and toddler gifts, and the July box delivered with two great items, so I'm happy.  We paid $21 for this box (6-month subscription) and received about $53 worth of products.

What did you get in your Citrus Lane box this month?

I am so disappointed in my first box. I signed up for 2 boys boxes both 5-6 years old. They came yesterday and today and both were sent a tea set, matching cards, and a shoe horn. 🙁
I’m putting them up for swap but 2 of the toys are heavy and bulky to ship so they will probably go to charity. Nice toys for a much younger child but not 6 yr old boys unfortunately. I cancelled both my accounts. Buyer beware 🙁

I received the exact same box as Liz for my 4 year old son.

Sorry my comment was not exactly true! Instead of the John Deere monster treads we got a slightly different John Deere toy.

I don’t have any children, so I do the same thing that Liz does and just stockpile stuff for my niece/nephew’s BDay and Christmas.

I am on box 2 of 3 for $15 each per month. For my 4 yr. old niece I received:

– Match Stacks in “Numbers”. I chose these hoping there would be some educational value in them before she starts pegging her brother with them. Listen to the credentials for this product/company:
100% Made in America, Sustainable Hardwood, Non-Toxic, Water Based Ink, 3rd Party Tested for Safety, and Wind Powered Workshop. (Wow! I’ve never felt so proud of buying a toy in my life!!!)
– Go Go Squeez Applesauce in “AppleGrape” (Because everyone needs applesauce on the go! HA!)
– Fancy Prancy Princess who is a 9″ Tooth Fairy. This doll is the cutest thing EVER! She’s dressed as a ballerina with wings and she carries a little organza bag with a tooth on it where your child can put their lost tooth.
– And how can I fail to mention the purlisse sunscreen? I think the government is now allowing purlisse samples to be used as currency. If that’s the case, I might be a millionaire now! 😉

I love this box and recommend it to anyone with small to small-ish children.

I got a very similar box for my 3 year old girl. I haven’t opened the matching game yet but it seems high quality and I love that it is made in the Usa. I haven’t received emails to pick the item though and am waiting to hear from 6customer service regarding the issue. She also received a Dorothy doll Iinstead of the tractor although she would have loved the tractor. I subscribed for 6 months when they had a deal so I believe I pay a little less than $18 per box. I agree that I would rather another kid item than a mom treat but I don’t sub to any beauty boxes so it was nice. My son gets Bluum and between the two I think I prefer Citrus Lane. CL sends more age appropriate items. My son tends to get items from Bluum suited better for a younger child. He is 7 months and received a 3-6 m onesie in his most recent box. That wasn’t the first item that was a little too young either. I think I will cancel Bluum.

For a 5 month old boy I received:

Issie Security Blanket from Aden + Anais, $10 value, LOVE

Pack N Go Mini Mobile from Tiny Love, $13 value, I’m happy with it

Feeding Spoons from Oogaa, set of 2, $6 value, I’m tired of seeing these, but it’s not their fault I subscribe to a million subscription boxes.

And PurLisse sunscreen! Value to me, $0.

I was happy with this box mainly because the timing of receiving the security blanket is perfect and it’s of high quality. Oh and I’m not paying full price for the subscription so that makes everything more tolerable. 🙂 Personally I don’t like seeing “Mom” products in these boxes unless it’s a bonus item. I don’t subscribe to baby boxes because I want Mom products!

I haven’t opened mine yet but this doesn’t seem like a very good value. It barely exceeds $30, let alone double like I feel sub boxes should have.

I got the same exact box for my 2 1/2 year old son.

My 4 year old daughter got the same items except for the truck she got a doll, which she loves!

I love the purlisse and currently have 2 of the full size and 4 of the small size! I think in set for awhile 🙂

Hilarious Liz!!! I was thinking the same thing. You’re always getting something from Purlisse. LOL

Sneaky Burrito

Me, too, and I don’t get half as many boxes as Liz does.

I’m currently using the moisturizer from them in the morning and, while it’s a good product, I would never pay $55 for a full-sized tube. (It sells on Amazon for <$30, by the way.) But then, I won't have to, because I have SO MUCH PURLISSE from boxes (and more on the way, I think…).

Well, better Purlisse than nail wraps or fake eyelashes.
