Makr Box Subscription Review - June

MakrBox is a monthly artisan subscription box. Every month MakrBox sources high-quality hand-crafted goods from talented makers and sends them to you. MakrBox kindly sent me this box to review.

Makr Box Subscription Review - June 2014 Items

The Subscription Box: MakrBox

The Cost: $29 plus $5 shipping for the Classic Box (which I’m reviewing). There is also a Minimalist box for $14, or a Maven box for $59.

The Products: Two or three maker items with WOW factor. More from MakrBox: “We define WOW factor as a mixture of sustainable production, artful craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Most importantly the goods we send must be useful in your day-to-day lifestyle and make your friends say, “wow, that’s incredible, where did you get that!” Our box is for those who appreciate design and know there is always a better alternative to things we use everyday.”

Ships to: US, and Worldwide! (Additional shipping fees for worldwide).

Makr Box Subscription Review - June 2014 Blue

Love, Daniella Linen Tea Towel - Value $35

Makr Box Subscription Review - June 2014 Folded

This tea towel is made with non-toxic custom mixed dyes. I love the color!

Makr Box Subscription Review - June 2014 Card

Each box comes with cards detailing the items included and the makers behind them.

Makr Box Subscription Review - June 2014 Mustard

Mustard and Co. Mustard - Value $6.50

Essential Apothecary Alchemist Kiss Lip Balm - Value $4.25

Both of these products are made with quality natural and organic ingredients - love it! The lip balm is great too, and we'll be trying the mustard soon!

Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $46 - which is good. I think this box is way more about the curation though, and a great box for anyone who wants to discover new makers in Seattle and surrounding areas! What do you think of Makr Box?

I love the color of the tea towel, but it sure is expensive!

Kristi

I can’t help but think that the towel would bleed on everything.

Haha, yeah. The last time I bought tea towels, it was at Target. They were Easter towels and it was after Easter so they were on clearance. I think I spent about $2 for 4 tea towels…
