I really like the bareMierals brand so I’m pretty pumped about this spoiler – what do you think?

  1. I am also excited about the bareminerals spoiler. Hoping for 5in1 but the duo looks nice as well.

  2. I had cancelled my second bag after the last few duds – this was enough to make me go back.

I’m waitlisted now though. Ugh. Is there any way off the waitlist without a referral? Last time I just had to Facebook about it. This time it says someone has to sign up first…

    • Hi, i sign up like a 1 week ago and they told me to post it on my wall and to subscribe to all of there youtuber and i did and i got off the waiting list rightaway

    • To Skip the Wait:
Click “Skip the Wait” from your ipsy account which will prompt you to share to and like on Facebook as well as subscribe to our YouTube channels. If you don’t see that option, click “My Account” and connect your Facebook first. Once a friend subscribes from your Facebook link, you’ll be moved from the Waitlist! (Sometimes we run promotions where no referral is needed!)

      • I tried to ‘skip the wait’. It had 4 (!!!) steps. Post on FB (I did), something else which I am blanking on b/c I’m 52 (I did), subscribe to 4 you tube channels (I did), AND allow ipsy access to my email contact list and have them send emails to 20 (!!!) people. I drew the line there. How shady. NO other box makes you jump through these marketing hoops. Ugh.

  3. Not sure which I’d prefer more! I typically use powder shadows, but I only like big palettes that have multiple shadows. I never like singles or duos. Cream shadow, though, never lasts on my eyes no matter the amount of primer or setting spray. It always gets patchy.

Either way, I’m still excited to get another bare minerals product!

    • So let me tell ya what ya cash do with those onesies shadows….

Look up Book Of Shadows by anothersoul on Etsy. She makes empty, magnetic strip awesome looking makeup palettes. Order one of your choice, then go pickup some magnetic tape at the store. Depot all your onesie eyeshadows/blushes/whatever and arrange your new CUSTOM palette. 😀

      • I’m a big fan of etsy 🙂 – I looked it up and wow its a pretty butterfly design I might get Empty Magnetic Makeup Palette Eye Shadow Eyeshadow Empty Storage Valentine – Romeo and Juliet. My favorite seller on etsy is: PuurBody – I found them here on my subscription addiction on swaps a while ago when i wanted to swap for a lip scrub and the other person was not interested in the items I had listed. PuurBody makes what I consider the best perfume oils. Long lasting, and great customer service. Her lip scrub lasts a while and is yummy!

        • Omg I have become addicted to Stay perfumeries lately! I seriously have like 10 orders from various shops I’m trying out… AND I just signed up for the fall and winter seasons on Sweet Anthem The SA List which sends you samples of their new seasonal perfumes before they release (& include a $10 off coupon for their store so it more than pays for itself if you like it!)

          • *Etsy not stay, dang autocorrect :-\

          • Eco Emi has a great deal going on now – 4 products for only $10 ( includes shipping ) and u don’t have to subscribe. They normally have some etsy products in their subscription. I canceled my monthly sub with them, yet it was fun to see the pick your own for $10 bit.

          • Yup! I ordered one. Got the flower headband for my baby girl, the Purely You lip gloss for me (loved it when I got it before), the chocolates for my hubby, and the loofah dish sponge cause I liked it when I got it before!

  4. Just wanted to let Canadians know that Fab Fit Fun now ships to Canada with reasonable shipping charges. Yay

  5. Looking forward to which ever bareMinerals they send. I’ve started using some bare mineral products and really like the brand.

    — RE: Last months box, I just got an email saying as a replacement for the mascara they are sending a bombsell lipgloss. At lipgloss I will use, mascara I never opened the box. – Might be fun to try another lip gloss 🙂

    • Aww, is your gloss in a nice color? They sent me a BaB all-in-one color stick in a very pale pink as my replacement. It’s a shame I’m medium toned so the pale color doesn’t work so well on me.

      • Have not gotten it yet, they just sent me a tracking # today. — I hope they send a pale pink, if it is any darker I would want to swap. I’m pale and darker lip colors make me look more pale. — I’ll trade with you if they send a color that is darker then the pale pink.

        • I’m pale and love dark lip colors (I dye my hair black too, so it’s a big contrast). I got my tracking number for the replacement product but they didn’t say what it would be. I guess I’ll find out.

        • Oh I would trade, but I already tossed the box and tried it out! (wishful thinking lol)

          • lol — This years christmas stocking stuffers will be box subscription stuff i wont use ! – LOL!

        • I got two items as a replacement from Ipsy – a Be a Bombshell bright pink lip gloss and another small mascara sample from some other brand I don’t remember the name of.

    • Hi
Are they sending out a replacement for everyone who recieved the bombshell mascara? Or did you contact them personally?

      • I had to contact Ipsy Care. I sent in the lot number (310) and complained about the smell. Took them a few days to get back to me.

  6. I can’t wait! Crossing my fingers for that sample…

  7. Does anyone know if you can get off the Ipsy waiting list without posting to Facebook? I’ve been waiting for 2 months now!!!!

    • They are posting on their FB page all the time different links to get off the waiting list 🙂

      • It would help if I scrolled down first…

    • Wow 2 months is way too long to have to wait. I only lasted two days before I broke down and activated my FB just to get off the waiting list! I don’t “do” FB but I didn’t want to wait any longer. Once I did that and posted a comment about Ipsy, I was off the wait list automatically!

    • Just keep sending them emails ….. It took me 2 months to get off the waiting list ( since I’m not on FB ), yet I emailed 3 or 4 times. I also told them, I did not like their fb idea to get off the waiting list. Since I’m sure I’m not the only one who is not on FB

      • I don’t have a Facebook either nor will I ever get one. I’ve been on the waiting list as well and it’s frustrating that you can only get off the wait list immediately by using Facebook. What about the people who don’t have a Facebook?

        • I emailed them 4 times. Took at least 2 months to get off. From what I was told there was no other way to get off the wait list then FB. I told them that was unfair because some people are not on facebook. I told them … I’m on twitter ( i like so much better ) and could send tweets to get off the waitlist, yet they said that was not an option 🙁 …

      • Ipsy will be out of business in six months if they do not stop this con game with the referrals. To sign up and have a wait list (which is bogus I found out) is one thing. To then tell your customers you refuse to send them promised product until they get you a new customer, and specifically via Facebook, that is called deception, it’s bait and switch, it’s unethical. Even if they have only one customer NOT on FB, they cannot do this stupid rabbit jump up thing. It’s discrimination, don’t you folks see that? If you walk into Sears and say, “I want to buy a washer.” And another customer at the same time says, “I also want to buy a washer.” And the Sears salesman says, well, whichever of you can run to a computer, get on Facebook and send me another person who will also buy a washer, then, maybe, if I’m in a good mood, I will sell you one too. This is amateur and I predict they will be in trouble legally.

        • I want to give this all the likes.

I sent them an e-mail over the weekend. We’ll see if I get a response. (“This e-mail” refers to the July Bare Minerals teaser e-mail blast – I sent the following note with the Bare Minerals e-mail attached.)

I re-subscribed to Ipsy specifically because of this e-mail – it said if I was interested in the offer to re-subscribe.

When I did this, I ended up on the waitlist. Looking around online, I’ve read it can take over 2 months to get off the waitlist – especially during months that have good promotions like this one.

I did post the link to my Facebook page and followed the “skip the waitlist” instructions, but I can’t guarantee that any of my friends will sign up in time to receive this bag. I feel a little mislead since the text reads:

“All July subscribers will receive one of these amazing eyecolors from bareMinerals! Get more exciting beauty goodies like the bareMinerals 5-in-1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow Broad Spectrum SPF 15 or the bareMinerals READY 2.0 Eyeshadow by re-subscribing.”

And yet, I’ve re-subscribed and there are no guarantees now that I will get this July bag.

Is there a way to have the waitlist restrictions removed from my account so I will be re-subscribed for this July bag as advertised?

          Thank you!

          • This tactic worked. I got this reply today (and taken off the waitlist)!

            Denise replied:

Thanks for writing to ipsyCare. We released an early sneak peek via email since we are very excited to feature bareMinerals in July. I’m so sorry if the email inviting you to join us again was confusing. I’ve made sure that you’re all set to get a July Glam Bag. Please let me know if I can answer any questions!

        • As far at the FB thing …. I’ve seen similar instances with many other companies where I could not enter a contest, get a good coupon code because I don’t like FB and refuse to sign up…. I either email the companies asking them for a coupon code or if there is another way to enter the contest, if not I tell them I’m not interested and remove me from all lists. No I wont sign up for FB and “like” them to enter a contest or get a coupon code. Completely absurd. Ipsy is irrritating to me. I’m on twitter … yet they won’t consider twitter referals…I emailed them at least 4 times and got off the list finally. My first email was in March ( it’s almost July – and they are still in business ) ….. Besides the irritation, the value is great for the $10. I like the bags and most the products …. The only two products I dont use unless they are vegan around the eye area are mascara and eyeliner, luckily I was able to swap them. – For me getting my ipsy bag was worth the wait and the frustration, yet I do hope they change what they are doing, because it is a not a good first likeable impression of the company.

          • I complained to GlossyBox about all the Facebook contests and they basically said “too bad, so sad.”

I am done with Ipsy anyway — three stinky items this year (my first Ipsy bag still reeks, though not as badly as before, six months later; POP Beauty lip gloss; BaB mascara) plus it turns out I’m not using very many of the items they sent.

          • The only great thing with glossybox, is someone can sign up immediately without going through FB. Last month was my second month with them. I was bla with the products, yet for now I’m going to keep my sub with them …. Julep is the one I’ve been having issues with since 2 weeks after I signed up. LOTS of errors, they sent me the wrong box twice. 2 mystery boxes only had 1/2 the products in it I was supposed to get, my latest issue is 2 nail polishes from the sale that are so old I don’t even have to open the shrink wrap.

    • If you don’t have FaceBook that is one thing, but if you do and don’t want to post it on your feed (like I didn’t) you can post it just to your own page and it counts. 🙂

      • They’ve changed it in the last few months. It’s not just posting to Facebook any longer. Someone has to sign up with your link: “Follow ipsy and Share with Friends! Once they’re subscribed, you’ll hop right off the Waitlist!”

If someone has a link to the old post / get off the waitlist method, please let me know! I couldn’t find one.

        • I haven’t tried, but are you able to sign up using your own referral with a different email address? You’d have time to cancel the second as long as you get off the waitlist with your original.

  8. I am VERY excited about this. I only have a bare minerals powder type kit for face, so i am really looking forward to trying other products from them! Either one will be amazing to add to my makeup collection 🙂

  9. I got that email. Don’t care, quit ipsy for a reason.

    • lol I agree. My friend is bummed out, because she just quit. I told her, either you would get the one you didn’t want, or the color would have been horrible. Sometimes it was good, I just hope they get better at customizing.

      • After I canceled I subbed to an indie makeup box that will come with much bolder colors (which I prefer!) and I’m so dang excited to get it! So didn’t much care about this… because as you said, I’d probably get the thing I DIDN’T want lol.

        • Which one did you go with instead? I like bold colors!

          • I signed up with Innocent + Twisted Alchemy’s sample sized sub just today while it was open!

If you like bold colors, you should see the June color spoilers she put on her facebook page!

I think right now it’s sold out until she reopens the subs in July. They are limited so you have to jump on it when it opens! Bag sooo original. Features all her own artwork and her loose handmade eyeshadows, but she also reaches out to other indie companies and includes their products too. ♥

          • Ditto!

  10. I quit ipsy after looking back and deciding I hadn’t used a whole lot of their samples. They keep sending me e-mails to resubscribe (like I wouldn’t be on the waitlist forever…).

I like Bare Minerals, too. But eyeshadow is not an everyday thing for me and I have more than I’ll ever use before the recommended throw-out dates, anyway. (I tried the Sumita pencil from Glossybox today, though, and I like it. But it’ll last me forever and I have a ton of eyeshadow from Lip Factory, Birchbox, e.l.f., and ipsy before I quit, as well.)
