Each month has a new theme, and for June it's Gourmet Picnic. Perfect timing to go with my new Go-Throw from Bespoke Post!
Inside the sheet are details on every item selected and some recipes: Sweet Heat Pickley Potato Salad, The Frenchie Sandwich, and The HL Fig Jamwich.
Anarchy in a Jar Fig & Onion Jam - Value $7.50
Pallares-Solsona Custom Olvewood & Carbon Steel Knife - Value $40?
This is one of the most delicious, interesting and addictive jams I've ever tasted! (I planned on just tasting it for the review, and a few spoonfuls later had to stop myself!) Hamptons Lane recommends pairing it with cheese. I say it's good right out the jar! I'll probably use on gluten-free toast though!
This knife was custom-designed just for Hamptons Lane, so I'm guessing on the value from a similar knife. I wasn't familiar with Pallares-Solsna prior to this box, but apparently it's a very high-end knife-maker from Spain!
Pommery Meaux Mustard - Value $12
Backyard Brine Sweet Heat Pickles - Value $5
This mustard apparently has been served at the tables of French kinds since 1632! I read a review that once you try this mustard you can't go back to anything else, so I'm excited to give it a go next time we cook out! (And these Sweet Heat Jalapeno Bread & Butter pickles will be a great addition too!)
Tote + Able American Flag Wine Tote - Value $19
This is definitely the perfect addition to a picnic box. The inside plastic liner is BPA free too!
Verdict: Based on my estimates I'd say this box has a value of over $80. I'm really happy with the value, and even more so with the curation. All these food brands are new to me, and I love that they are sourced from all over the world! I think this box would make a great gift, and I can't wait to see what the July box is!
