Tyler Florence Fancy Box Review - April

The Tyler Florence Fancy Box is a monthly subscription box curated by Tyler Florence and the Fancy Team. If you’re looking for a mix of cooking tools and new ingredients to try, I definitely recommend this box.

(We’ve been subscribers to the Tyler Florence Fancy box since the first month, but this month Fancy offered to send me this box at no cost for review purposes).

Tyler Florence Fancy Box Review - April 2014 Card

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included - I like the changes Fancy has made to their cards!

Tyler Florence Fancy Box Review - April 2014 Herb

Sagaform Single Herb Pot - Value $24

NorPro Stainless Steel Vegetable Steamer - Value $8

I really have never steamed vegetables, but I know its great for keeping the nutrients, so I think it is time to give it a try!

Tyler Florence Fancy Box Review - April 2014 Citrus

Art Cook i Peeler - Value $9

Tomato Huller - Value $5

Citrus Reamer - Value $7

I already have a peeler and citrus reamer, but I guess an extra is always good when it comes to kitchen tools!

Tyler Florence Fancy Box Review - April 2014 Mortar

Tater Mate Potato Brush with Eye Remover - Value $9

Mortar and Pestle - Value $20

Both of these items are new to my kitchen, and I absolutely love the look of this white marble mortar and pestle! (When I dream of renovating our kitchen, it's grey and white just like it)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $82 - not bad! I wish that Tyler had included one (or more) of his food items like he has in previous boxes, but I'm still very happy with all the items included. I think a subscription to this box would make a great subscription or gift for anyone building out their kitchen (college grads, newly weds, etc). Or just anyone who needs to keep their kitchen updated, or anyone who realizes they don't have half the tools they probably need (AKA me).

What did you think of the April Tyler Florence Fancy Box?

This was my first TF box. I love the marble mortar and pestle and the upgraded peeler. Haven’t used the other stuff yet and the herb pot will probably be gifted since I’m not into gardening at all.

Great box! I have wanted to grow herbs and TF gave me a great little pot. I love when I can find a use for all things in a box.

The herb pot looks great, but the value on it seems pretty high. Otherwise, I already have a well stocked kitchen that includes most of these items. I keep hoping that I would like to TF Fancy Box, but I just don’t see enough unique items to warrant the cost.

considering the one item I thought we didn’t need ( mortar and pestle) to what I hoped we could use (her pot) I loved it. Hubby wanted the mortar so bad and family convinced me that I can’t grow anything. I loved my first TF Fancy box

After I move next month, this is the first subscription box I’m subscribing to!

Really cute but as a regular TJ Maxx shopper I have seen the majority of those items there for a total value of less than 25.00.
I’d love to see more boxes to see if the contents do add up in value in different boxes

Omg! I love it all! I have to sign up for this box, but I’m hoping a promo will come out soon.

I just subscribed to this box and April was my first month. I recently moved out on my own after several years of living with a roommate and using all her great kitchen stuff, so I was hoping this sub would help me build up a grown-up kitchen by sending me stuff I’d never have thought about purchasing, but would love to use if I had it. And so far, so good! I swapped the potato scrubber and am considering swapping the citrus reamer since I already have one, but the mortar and pestle, the herb pot, and the steamer were huge wins in my book.

I’m actually happy I didn’t get any food items, since there are other subs just for food!

This box has always intrigued me, but my problem is I have a ton of kitchen gadgets (I cook a lot so my mom always gets me kitchen gifts) so I’d fear getting high value items I already owned. This box on the other hand would have been all new items! (except the peeler – but it looks like a nice one) I agree though, food items would help a gadget diva like myself be more likely to subscribe! (and maybe cookbooks – or at least recipe cards)
