POPSUGAR Must Have Subscription Box Review – May 2014

Does anyone know if Smellbent is paraben and phthalate free? I’m trying not to use scents with those chemicals, but I can’t find anything about it on their website. Thanks!

I was not thrilled at all with this box. Seemed like POPsugar was trying to make up for the late shipment of the Resort and monthly boxes last month by getting an early start for this month, which is great but there was nothing in the box I like. If anyone wants to buy this box please let me know.

I received my box earlier this week and finally was able to unpack stuff yesterday and use stuff today. I tried the sleep mask last night and its the same pattern as Liz’s, but it was a little uncomfortable so I had to adjust it until it was comfortable. But its soft and I like the design and materials. The chips are delicious like Funyon light. The perfume does remind me of the beach and summer – I spray it in the air and walk through the mist for a nice”Q”W0 light beach resort scent. I haven’t tried the nail color yet, but I have a ton of nail polish (Julep), but I do like this blue color and will probably try it next. The water bottle is awesome – I really like the look, the size and the convenience. I have not tried the DVD yet, but I am excited to try this 30 min work out. Overall I really liked this box. Its my 3rd PopSugar Must Have box and I will keep the subscription. I also recently ordered the summer limited edition.

I just received my May box and this is my first month. I subscribed after reading all the good reviews here and looking at past months boxes. I was surprised to open my box and find that 2 major items were missing. The perfume and the nail polish were just not there! I emailed them so we’ll see how that goes. Just seeing the preview I was not excited. I thought the April box looked great and was disappointed in this box.

I’m in the Seattle area and my box came in four days ago, which was fast! This is my third box, and although it wasn’t as amazing as the last two, I sure do love this box. The perfume makes a wonderful room spray, and I love the light scent I get on myself when I walk through after several seconds. The Pool Boy polish is a lovely shade that I don’t have in my collection somehow, so I’m liking that. The skinny sticks are sooo good – the food baby of French onion Sunchips and Funyuns. I’ll definitely use the DVD, sleep mask and infuser 🙂 loving everything!

I was disappointed when I opened the box, because the fitness DVD was the first thing that I saw. I’m not a “one-day fat blast” kind of person, so I knew right away that I’d be trading it. I also already have a water bottle that’s basically the same thing as the PopSugar bottle. However, as I dug through everything else, I began to brighten up. I LOVE the sleep mask and the fragrance, and nail polish is always a good thing. Plus, the Skinny Sticks are amazing! Overall, not too bad this month.

I got my box today, and my shipping notification this evening. Whatever, PopSugar! I actually like this box more than I thought I would. I do NOT want nail polish, but every time I get one I think ooh pretty, maybe I’ll keep this one. I like the extra lip product. It is thick but not sticky. Feels good.

I received my box today, I also did not receive the lip lube that they said I would be receiving and I STILL have not received the bracelets that were left out of the Resort LE box. I love this box (the perfume is potent but way fun, the snack is yummy and full size, water bottle is cute, I don’t need the box to have a super high value but just include things I wouldn’t ordinarily purchase for myself) and I love my monthly subscription but I am so disappointed at what a disaster the Resort box was and continues to be.

My box still shows that it is processing, but I’m not really excited about any of the items in this box. Does anyone know if you can just return an entire box for a refund? I seriously might consider it, because there is nothing in this box that I think I expect to use. 🙁

Maybe I’m just easy to please but when I saw the post lady get out of her truck with this box, I almost squealed in delight! This was my third box and so far my favorite. I did love the eyeshadow last month but I think the fragrance spray smells delightful (but not like sunscreen…more like gardenia) and it’s strong in the beginning but lightens up after about 20 minutes. I’ve wanted a juicing bottle so I’m excited to use it! I’ve had the chips and I love them so they were a treat. The polish…great blue color (although I actually needed the blue last month for Autism Awareness), the DVD–haven’t tried it but i’m excited to do so. Sleep mask…I’m tempted to give it a try here at my desk! Same pattern, by the way! I’m tickled with this box. I opted for a 3 month sub but I think I’m going to renew it.

Looking forward to this box. Is there any rhyme or reason on how they ship things out? I don’t even have a tracking number yet and it seems many received their box days ago. I hope the citrus zinger is good 🙂

This is my second PopSugar Must Have box and I’m not disappointed at all! I loved it. However, my Citrus Zinger leaks like crazy. I read online that they leak (Amazon reviews), so I cut up my fruit and made sure not to over stuff the bottom. I also screwed it on really tightly. However, my bottle is leaking all over the place. 🙁

This box is my treat since in my day to day life I dont splurge on myself. For this particular box I LOVED the perfume. Ive always loved the smell of coconut oil for tanning but I DO NOT tan and this has that scent mixed with a little bit of floral. Also loved the water bottle. I live in Texas and it is HOT and I was already sick of drinking plain water so started using it with an orange infused in it. Holds a lot of water and the lid has a finger hold on the top which makes it easy to carry around. I liked the nail polish. The snack is only ok as well. MIsses: I will not use the sleep mask so I gave it to my husband in case he wants to use it. I wish they would quit sending workout stuff in the boxes. there was a workout dvd about a year ago that i never used, then a workout ball i never used and now another workout dvd. I dont get this box for workout stuff. What I do love about the boxes is the high end makeup, beauty cremes and nail polishes and jewelry/accessories. IF they put an accessory or jewelry item in every box it would be perfect.

Got mine yesterday! I liked it a lot better once I had it in front of me. However, my nail polish arrived shattered with nail polish allover the perfume. So disappointed. I emailed them. Anyone know how their customer service is with stuff like this? I just hope they have the stock to replace it. 🙁

This is my first box and I love it. I got the same sleep mask pattern and nail polish color. It was a win since I don’t own a single sleep mask (odd) and will use it for travel. The scent smells MUCH different on than from the bottle so don’t give up on it unless you wear it for a while (it mellows out). I was excited about the fitness dvd because I’ve been saying I wanted to get one. It was a win for me. 🙂

I live this Monty’s box! I think I will use everything but the slep mask. I used to work nights, so my bedroom is completely blacked out from light. I think I will gift the mask to my teen daughter. I love love the water bottle, I have been wanting one forever. The perfume is a bit on the strong side but its fun and very summery. It’s not my favorite scent but I will probably use it occosionaly. I like the blue nail polish and have already eaten half my snack. I only workout with exercise DVDs so I am excited to have a new one to try. This month was a win for me!

I just received my box (before tracking was even available) and I love it! I’ve been adding citrus to my water lately but it was more of a process so I look forward to the bottle making it easier. The sleep mask (identical in color/pattern to yours) was another thing on my wish list. The onion sticks are tasty and the nail polish looks lovely.

The fragrance does smell like sunscreen (summer with a little chemical bite to it) and isn’t remotely like anything I own. I might generally use it to refresh areas of my home and on the rare occasion when I want that total “summer vibe” I may use it on my skin but otherwise it’s not a favorite fragrance. It’s still fun. The DVD is probably not going to be used so I’ll consider gifting it. I did receive the lip gloss bonus due to my Resort box being late. Overall I thought it was an excellent box despite there being a few things that I won’t use.

I just got my box & actually I was mailed 2 yes 2 of the same box. This must have been a mistake but I’ll just give the other box to my mom lol !!

This was my first box after a year+ break. I really enjoyed it! I’m not sure I will use the DVD, but I wasn’t upset that it was in my box. Definitely going to continue getting this box! I was turned off by the first box that I got, but it seems like they’ve been getting better. Thanks for posting your reviews of them – very helpful for people like me to look back on…

And my eye-mask smells like it’s been freshly-painted, too… but it is the same pattern. 🙂

This month was a real BUMMER for me ~ my products were exactly as yours. Thinking of Un subbing. ….. Have Ipsy, Boxycharm, Glossy Box, Julep, ELF, and Birch Box. …This was my FIRST sub and I haven’t really been all that impressed (been with them 6 months and this just isn’t worth the money to me).

I’m not too into anything in this box but my 22 year old daughter loved it all!

My box came today; earlier than I expected. Love the nail polish color, won’t use the DVD, will try the water bottle, won’t use the sleep mask, haven’t tried the snacks, and spritzed the “perfume” on my arm. Won’t be using that for a fragrance but will keep it to spritz the doggy bed maybe. This month was a bust for me compared to the last two months. I have already canceled and unless a really good deal comes up am just going to enjoy seeing the future boxes as they are revealed on here.
