Bluum Subscription Box Review & Coupon – May 2014 Luna

Luna Chocolate Dipped Coconut Bar – Value $1.50

Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker – Value $10

Melissa & Doug toys are always a hit for gifts, so I was thrilled to see this wooden stacker in the box. (I use my Bluum and Citrus Lane boxes to stock up on baby shower gifts!)

Bluum Subscription Box Review & Coupon – May 2014 SPF

Circle of Friends Rosa’s Raspberry Detangler – Value $13

Purple Prairie Botanicals Sun Stick – Value $10

I think I read this label 10 times trying to figure out what level of SPF it is. (Turns out it isn’t listed). But on the website I found that 20% Zinc Oxide = SPF 30). The consistency is a little different than other sun sticks I’ve used in the past, but it isn’t sticky, it smells a little like cocoa, and it’s made with all natural ingredients so I’m excited about it. (And this raspberry detangler gets excellent reviews on Amazon!)

Bluum Subscription Box Review & Coupon – May 2014 Swim Diapers

Flap Happy Swim Diaper  – Value $15?

Verdict: We paid $25 for this box and received nearly $50 worth of products. I think our box this month has a great value, and I have a few items for myself and a few items to gift! What did you get in your Bluum box this month?

  1. Wow, I am SO disappointed with Bluum. First off I received a newborn hat in my April month for my 15 month old, with promise they would “make up for it” the next month…which is why I stayed on another moths. So this month I receive a swim diaper for a 6-12 month old, and those sunglasses with the neoprene strap for a 2-5 year old! None of those items come close to being age appropriate for my child. Isn’t that the whole purpose of bluum? Monthly AGE appropriate stuff for my baby? So two items that are completely useless, a snack container and that sunblock. I guess my “extra” item to make up for April was the Luna bar I received?

I have sent them 3 emails this week through different mediums. Facebook, direct email and through their website. Absolutely nothing in return. I want to cancel but I feel that they won’t try to resolve this issue if I do so. I really feel like I deserve my money back.

  2. I agree ladies, Bluum was super dissapointing. I really didn’t want to cancel it either because my 28 month old daughter was so excited when things came in the mail for her. The products included were just so poor that I felt I had no choice. All the kids want is to get a toy of some sort and it was a lot of stuff for mom.. hand scrub, lotions, etc. In fact the month I finally cancelled there wasn’t one baby item she could play with…she ended up playing with the packaging the belt came on pretending it was a wand.

Be careful to check your email when canceling. Even after you follow all the steps they email you a link that you need to click on to cancel your subscription. I use an email I don’t check that often and ended up almost getting another box!

Also, I would love to find something that is great for a 3 y.o. girl. I didn’t find that there were many boxes out there that included toys. Any suggestions? I was thinking about maybe building my own box on Amazon and sending it to her ea month. Melissa and Doug toys are fairly inexpensive, prime offers free shipping, and my little one can still get mail. LOL.

  3. I picked up one of those three month deals from a flash site and have been pretty disappointed overall. Most of the stuff feels too young for my daughter and is pretty much a hodgepodge of stuff. I used to get citrus lane and feel their boxes were better conceived and were a better value. I have one box left and plan to cancel which is a bummer since my daughter loves it when a box comes for her but both months she did not get excited about anything in the boxes. Shame.

  4. Be careful with there half off coupons, what they don’t state is that you have to order a 3 month subscription to get half off your first box. I used it last month on a one month and they charged me full price, then customer service took about a week to get back, was really disappointed as the box looks great!

  5. I cancelled bluum after one month bc they sent me mostly mom gifts (dry shampoo and 3 single use face masks) and I only got a small Melissa and Doug toy (which actually is a hit) and sippy cup that leaks for the baby toys. 6 month box. Now I get citrus lane and I love it!! Plus Bluum charged me twice for the same box and it took almost two weeks to get straightened out.
