Mother's Day Fancy Box!

Fancy has just released a Limited Edition Mother's Day Box! There are three options available - small ($19), medium ($39) and large ($79), plus additional shipping charges per box.

Remember to use coupon code FOLLOWUP10 to save 10% off any Fancy purchase!

Are you going to get a Mother's Day Box? I was happy with their latest sized mystery boxes, so I think I'm going to try it and hopefully get something good for my mom and/or myself!

So I took a chance on this Mother’s day box and ordered the Medium $39 and Large box $79. I received the Medium box today and as a gift, I do agree with some of the other reviews I have read that being a special “Mother’s Day” box, it would have been nice if the items were personally wrapped or something extra special from their Regular Fancy box packing. I was very pleased with this box that had a total value of about $84 of products and felt like they did think about the theme when selecting these items. I would more than likely have purchased these or similar items for gifts or for myself, so with that being said… it was a great deal for me! What I received: Paddywax Gardenia/Tuberose soy candle($10), “Stuff Every Mom Should Know” book($9.99), Lov Organic Lemongrass tea/20pk($13.40), Oscar Blandi Dry Powder Shampoo 2.5oz($21) and Saressa Druzy Colbalt Oval 14k gold fill earrings($30) I thought the book would be great for a first time mom/shower gift, because it was super cute and had cute notes about how to get rid of lice and how to protect your kids online. The candle has an amazing sent, the tea which was featured in a Birchbox is really cute, The Dry Powder Shampoo has been something I have wanted to try since I really like the OB Dry spray shampoo and The earrings are super cute and these are going to stay with me….Sorry MOM! Hope this helps anyone who was wondering about the medium Mom box. Oh, and Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there!

Ok I got a decanter pourer, a brush set, a tilted mug, two fancy nail polishes, and I guess the big ticket item it the Emilie M in Midnight.
Not too happy with the box. I hope that the missing items are better than this! 🙁

Ok so I’ve never ordered from Fancy before but I think they may have sent me the wrong box!
The invoice attached says $39 when I purchased the large one!
Anyone have this problem before? Should I call?

Kristin

I called and they told me I had to email a pic of the contents as well as the invoice that says it was the $39 box.
Kristin did they in fact tell you that you were missing items??

Christine

I called FANCY to ask what “Windows Phone” meant in the box description. They indicated that the company Windows Phone is the sponsor, and that in no way did it mean that the box contents were specific to a windows (android) only phone. The box should be applicable to everyone. Hope that helps.

FYI – Coupon Code is invalid on Fancy

Judy

It works for me. I think you have to have an account and have an item in your checkout without checking out. I usually receive an email with that code afterwards.

Annie

Ugh—- just ordered a large one than noticed it said WINDOWS PHONE mystery box! I have an iPhone!
What do you think that means?

Darnit— this is my first box ever too!

Lynsey

I just bought all 3, i think i’m obsessed

I bet the Large box actually has some cool stuff in it. I’d buy it for myself but I just bought a fitbit and my husband and kids bought me surf lessons for Mother’s Day…but I do want one of these. I’m so curious about what might be included!!!

Tammy

It says the Windows phone Fancy Mother’s Day box, so I wonder if that means some of the items will be based on that. That would not be of any use…

The followup10 code does not work for snoops box? Funny I know someone who will love that box! Not on swap list but if anyone wants to sell theirs I am very interested!

Elissa

I am interested in selling my Snoop Dogg box. You can contact me at [email protected]

FOLLOWUP10 did not work for me today either when I tried to buy a Mother’s Day Mystery Box. I was wondering if it was because I have used that code I think 3 times already when buying a few new Fancy subs and a previous mystery box order – or if the code has finally expired.

For those of you who said you snagged allure boxes, I would double check with then on that. The site crashed and they are relaunching the sale at noon on Tuesday 5/6 to “make it fair for everyone”

Alyssa

Thanks for the head’s up! Luckily (for me) they sent a separate email confirming they had received my order and that they would honor and ship it.

Kristin

They still have my mens large in the Czech just sitting at fedex
I may other my mom something that I don’t have to pick up at my mailbox in MI

Alyssa

Speaking of Mother’s Day boxes, did you see that Orange Glad is offering one as well?

Liz Cadman

Thanks for the heads up – I’m working on a Mother’s Day gift guide, so I’ll make sure to include it! 🙂

I already snagged the Mother’s Day Glossybox & an extra Allure box for her. I wasn’t too impressed with what I saw in the Fancy $10/$20 boxes, but I felt like the $40 box was amazing! Either the watch or the necklace would have been enough to justify the cost for me. The selfie kit was giftable, and the only thing I really have no use for is a heavy knit scarf (it’s been over 100 in Arizona already). So that will be swapped, but overall the value was great!

Fancy has such an odd variety of boxes, I would definitely want to intercept and selectively gift (sounds like you plan on doing that Liz). I wonder if leftover Snoop Dogg paraphernalia will find its way into the Mother’s Day boxes?? 🙂

I would never send a box of random crap to my Mom for Mother’s Day but I guess someone somewhere thinks its a good idea. lol!

Reply ButtonReply

Vanessa

Haha!! That’s what I was thinking lmao. I would have to get it first and then pick through it.

I got my mother a 3 months subscription to Birchbox and she’s so excited. She can’t be happier. I think it’s a great gift to give!

At least with Birchbox, if you know she is a beauty aficionado who enjoys trying new products, you have a good chance that she will like something.

This random Fancy Box – who the heck knows what she’ll get. I would NEVER send this to my mom without knowing what it is or at least have a good idea of what to expect!

Sneaky Burrito

It really depends on your mom. Mine is not much into this kind of thing, probably because she has allergies to a lot of cosmetic ingredients (some of which I inherited, but I try a lot of products, nonetheless).

If I was to go with a box for my mom, it would probably not be from Fancy; the content of the mystery boxes Liz reviewed was just a little too unpredictable. (She wouldn’t have found the wall decals or the head scratcher useful…)

Andrea

Liz, I just want to tell you that you are amazing and I adore you. Thanks for the work you put into this website. You are such a positive and beautiful person.

You were happy with their mystery box? That was my first and LAST Fancy box! It was utter crap, and the worst waste of money in my subscription boxing life.

Reply ButtonReply

Candice

I hate to be negative about a company, but I agree! First and last fancy for me.

Liz Cadman

I wasn’t happy with the $10 box, but the later $10, $20 and $40 options I thought were a lot better.
