Bluum Subscription Box Review & Coupon – April 2014

Bluum Subscription Box Review & Coupon - April

Bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies and toddlers. Their boxes are super customized – specific to the month of your child’s age! The box I’m reviewing is for a 32 months girl.

Recently, Bluum acquired Stork Stack, and if you had an existing Stork Stack subscription, it was converted to a Bluum subscription automatically. I was a little frustrated that Stork Stack did this with no warning – on April 16th I received an email from Stork Stack letting me know “Your April charge will be by Bluum on or before April 18, 2014.” – so at the time of the email I had already been charged for a Bluum subscription, even though I already had one! Fortunately Bluum customer care helped me cancel and refund the additional subscription.

  1. I just ordered my first box for my girls 23mo and 2mo.
I used the half off code and it showed on my invoice that the code was accepted, however I was charged full price on my card?? So I’m really confused. I haven’t heard back from CS I hope they are good at rectifying it. I’m hoping these boxes are filled with tons of goodies for my babies, I’d rather goodies for them than me, as I sub to other boxes for myself. Fingers crossed

    • I’m pretty sure u will be disappointed with this box. I didn’t receive any toys for my 6 month old and most of the boxes value went to mom gifts. The only useful baby item was a board book. The other items were a sippy cup that leaks and a teething remedy that we don’t plan to use. Also I was overcharged and it took two weeks and posting on their Facebook page to get it straightened out.

  2. I meant the total value was $43.

  3. This was my first and last month of Bluum. I received 3 teeth/ teething related items (toothpaste, teething remedy and book with tether binding), a sippy cup that doesn’t seal properly, and the mom gift of a $20 dry shampoo. The total value of my box was $33, including a $20 mom gift, for the 6 month box. I didn’t sign up for a baby box so that I could get a mom gift that takes up half the box’s value. I actually wanted baby stuff from a baby box! No toys were included either. I get 6 other subs and receive plenty of “mom gifts”. I would not recommend Bluum to anyone. Oh also – they charge me for my second shipment before I even received the first shipment and I couldn’t get ahold of cs for a week. Finally got taken care of by complaining on Facebook lol

  4. I wonder if something like this would be a good gift for my sister? She has a soon-to-be 4-year-old girl, a 2-year-old girl, and a third (as yet unknown gender) due in November. So even if the age wasn’t 100% spot on, probably one of her kids would like the stuff. I’ll definitely keep it in mind. (I don’t have kids so I’m horrible at picking baby/kid gifts.)

    • Silly Rhino is my new favorite! I cancelled all the other baby boxes I was subscribed to.

      • Thanks! I appreciate the input. I wouldn’t have the first idea how to pick one for babies/kids. (On the other hand, I would be an EXPERT at evaluating boxes for cats or large dogs.)

      • Silly rhino I’ve been thinking of trying them. Do they give a lot of toys in their boxes. Good value?
