Lip Factory Makeup Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Box

Lip Factory is a monthly full-size makeup subscription box. They tend to send a variety of drugstore and mid-tier makeup, and the value seems to always be at least double the cost of the box. (Extra good news – they ship worldwide!)

Lip Factory Makeup Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Lipstick

Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Lipstick in Tempting Pink - Value $18.87

I like the color of this lipstick, and I'm happy to see that it is paraben free! (Plus the packaging is fantastic!)

Lip Factory Makeup Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Lip Crayon

Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Desert Metals Mascara in Tiger's Eye - Value $20.75

LASplash Cosmetics Chubby Twist Matte Lip Stick in Fashionista Pink - Value $10

Lip Factory included two Teeez Trendy Cosmetics items in the January box, so I was surprised to see two more items from the line in this month's box.  So far I like these products though - so no complaints. But hopefully next month's box has more variety of brands!

Lip Factory Makeup Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Winks

StarLooks Loose Pan Eyeshadow in Shiny Taupe - Value $10

Eyelashi Eyelashes in Sweet - Value $9

I'm a little over finding StarLooks makeup in subscription boxes considering they have their own box as well. (I'm probably an extreme case though!)

Verdict: I paid $22 for this box and received nearly $60 worth of makeup. If you're looking for a full size makeup subscription box, I definitely recommend Lip Factory - you definitely get a lot of products for your money.

What do you think of the February Lip Factory Box?

Can Teeez products be purchased in America? I tried googling where to buy it and nothing came up. It’s odd that they don’t have that option (or even prices listed) on the website even tho they have a shopping bag button.

Maybe I need to try this instead of Ipsy and Birchbox. I’ve been with Ipsy and BB for 9 months now and getting rather bored with both of them. Do you fill out a profile so they can customize a box or are they like Beauty Box 5 and send everyone the same thing.

Everyone receives the same box but the coloring is catered to skin tone. This is one of my favorite boxes. I look forward to it every month. Great value!

I filled out a profile. I remember questions about skin tone (mine is pale) and hair color (black). Not sure how well the stuff I got matched my profile, or else how they assign boxes based on profile, as Liz and I got the same box this time but we usually don’t with other subscriptions. But maybe I’m not the best judge because I’ve only had Lip Factory for one month.

I got the same box as you, although I think my eyeshadow color was different. I’m fairly new to boxes so I don’t have any other Starlooks stuff yet.

I normally don’t do pink lipstick (am more into red) but I tried and actually liked both of these (although I found the crayon a little drying and I needed to put some gloss over the top). Haven’t tried the mascara yet because I had just opened a new mascara a few days before I got this one. Don’t know what I’ll do with the eyelashes — got some from Ipsy too, this month.

Anyway, I’m happy with my first box and I’ll be sticking with this one for awhile.

I loved this Monty’s box! I do agree they need to diversify the brands. Even if they just skip a month between sending the same line. And you’re definitely not alone about Starlooks. It’s why I dropped Wantable’s beauty sub. They kept sending me 2-3 Starlooks products a month. I could just sub to Starlooks directly for less than half the price. While the price disparity with Lip Factory isn’t as large, it’s still irritating. Starlooks must be giving their product away to every other sub. The shocking part is that the subs then use them, basically promoting a competing sub company. That’s just odd.

The loose Starlooks eye shadow really doesn’t impress me. The packaging is totally inadequate. The inadequate packaging turns me off of the Starlooks brand overall.

Month’s, not Monty. God I hate autocorrect. That’s a favorite of my iPad.

I’d never heard of Teeez before, and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality. Last month’s eyeliner is one of the VERY few I own that doesn’t smudge and smear. The mascara this month is fabulous.
And LF’s famous customer service came through again: I emailed them because I was sad I received those same two pink lipsticks as you, but I just can’t get away with pinks. They said they’d send me a new Teeez lipstick, and asked if I preferred red or wine. I got the wine and it is SO beautiful and just what I’d been looking for!

I’d say that for the price, there is no better makeup box, especially taking into account how much they clearly value customers.
