BoxyCharm Beauty Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Box

BoxyCharm is a full-size and deluxe-size makeup and beauty subscription box. When they first started they were featuring drugstore brands like Revlon and L’Oreal, but lately they’ve been using mid-tier and high-end brands.

BoxyCharm kindly sent me this box to review.

Each box comes with a card detailing the products included.

BoxyCharm Beauty Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Lipstick

ModelCo Party Proof Cream Lipstick in Flirt - Value $17

Purlisse Pur Moist Hydra Balance Moisturizer - Value $55

I was very happy to see Purlisse in the box! I'm a big fan of their cleaners, and it's a pricey brand, so getting a full-size moisturizer is a win!

BoxyCharm Beauty Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Makeup

Bella Piere Makeup Base - Value $19

Bella Pierre Shimmer Powder - Value $15

I just received this makeup base in Beauty Box 5, but I'm happy to have a spare!

BoxyCharm Beauty Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Nail Polish

Strange Beautiful Nail Polish in Bandaid and Pussy Willow - Value $18 total

I had to do a double take when I saw this polish - I'm so used to this bottle shape meaning Julep Maven! I also think the name "Bandaid" isn't the best nail polish name I've heard, but I do like these colors, and the polish is 3-free. I'll give it a try!

Verdict: I've said this in past reviews, but I definitely think BoxyCharm is getting better and better. I like that everything is full-sized, and this box has a value of nearly $125!

Do you subscribe to BoxyCharm? What did you think of the March box?

Yep, I think this just cinched it for me! This box looks pretty awesome, and following the awesome box from last month, I think Boxycharm deserves a try.

This is my second month with them also – easily one of my new favorite subs!! I will def stick with this one, love the full size products! The Barbie pink lipstick is pretty awful – but the formula is super smooth and moisturizing – I just wish it were in a color I could wear because the lipstick itself feels great! Everything else was a win! Was so happy to get another makeup base to go along with the one we got in our Beauty Box 5! I will end up gifting the nail polish as I would feel like I’m cheating on my Julep polish if I use those bottles 😉

This is my second month and I highly recommend it, especially for people who have not ride a subscription before (this is my first), because getting full size products feels like you’ve hit the jackpot. They had sent me a sneak peek email of the moisturizer, and I have been using it for 3 days and it is working well on my very dry skin. The makeup base is supposed to “mattify” the eye shadow, which is a shimmery powder. I thought that meant it would look matte ( i.e., no shimmer) but it doesn’t; however, it did make the powder stick and not be all over the place, which I think is great. I also used it to cover some dark spots before putting on foundation ( the box said you can do that), and it did a better job than my previous concealer so, bonus! Finally, the lipstick is very pink and very matte, so I put some pink gloss over it. It did not feel dry or chalky, though, which some matte lipsticks can. I will definitely continue this subscription.

That looks likes a nice box. Wonder if they have any promo codes floating around. If so I’d try it.
