Birchbox Man Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Box

Birchbox Man is a monthly grooming and lifestyle subscription box for men. Their lifestyle items tend to be formal (think ties, cufflinks, etc), so keep that in mind when subscribing!

Birchbox Man Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Stubble

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator - 20 g Value $5.60

Stubble & 'Stache Face Moisturizer & Beard Conditioner - .5 oz Value $5.60

I've received this exfoliating cleanser in my Birchbox before, and I like it a lot, so even if my husband doesn't want it - it will go to use!

Also - FYI you can specify in your Birchbox Man profile if you shave or have a beard and they'll send you the appropriate grooming products!

Birchbox Man Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Socks

Vivarati No-Show Loafer Socks - Value $20 for two pair

I think we got these in a Birchbox Man from a while ago, but with summer coming soon (hopefully) these will be useful.

Birchbox Man Subscription Box Review - April 2014 Cologne

English Laundry Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash 3-in-1 - Travel Size Value $3

Atelier Cologne Sample - Value $2

Verdict: This wasn't the most exciting Birchbox Man for us - mainly because the lifestyle item this month was a repeat, but I think every item will be used. We paid $20 for this box and received over $35 worth of items. The value is good, and actually I'd say on the lower end of values looking at other boxes we've received.

What did you think of the April Birchbox Man?

I got a pair of Cherry Wood Bowerys (http://www.lstnheadphones.com/collections/bowerys/products/cherry-earbuds), which I immediately fell in love with and makes my subscription completely worth it. I won’t complain about getting a pair of $50 headphones + some beauty products for only $20. Birchbox has officially won me over with this one item.

I ordered this for my husband and although he seemed to get a kick out of opening the box [he loves gifts], he said he didn’t want another box. Kind of late for that since I purchased a whole year. Whoopsie! Anyway, we got the belt, shampoo, shampoo/body wash, face rejuvenation stuff, and cologne. He hated the belt, so I will find someone to give it to but all the other stuff went into the shower and I noticed he used some of the shampoo already.

I got a great box.. I got the rosewood headphones, Davines thickening shampoo (I have thinning hair and it works great) – and it was 100ml sample when full size is $25 and only 250ml! The Vasanti face scrub, an English laundry cologne sample, and the Claymation! I definitely use everything.

I just checked BB and see that my hubby is getting this same exact box. It’s his first BB and I was a bit nervous trying the sub on him as he’s really not into bath products in general. Now that I see what he’s getting I’m *really* waiting with baited breath for his reaction.

I’m fairly certain he will not use the exfoliater or the body wash. The cologne and the socks are up in the air – he might like them, or might not. I think the only thing I know for sure he’ll use is the stache cream.

Received the same box here. I was almost positive that the English Laundry shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottle was close to empty. Why use such a large bottle if you are just going to put a tiny bit in. I love the smell though. My hubby doesn’t wear topsiders/loafers so I’m going to dee if the socks are small enough for my daughter to use with her topsiders. The cologne smells nice, and with how infrequently my husband wears it it won’t be a waste buying full size. I’m going to encourage hubby to use the stubble & ‘stach, I hate his scratchy stubble.

My box was not so great. Instead of getting socks, sunglasses, a belt or earbuds, I got a travel candle. Which smelled AWFUL. I also got the shampoo, cologne, claymation, and face rejuvenator. Would have loved to try the stubble and stache, but oh well. Overall, the box was smelly and unusable by me.

Got the Atelier cologne, Davines shampoo, claymation from video, beard tonic and LSTN Bowery earbuds in rosewood. Wasn’t expecting that.

This was actually one of my favorite boxes because I got the belt, shampoo, shampoo and body wash, face rejuvenator, and cologne. Other than boxes which had the headphones, I believe it was one of the higher value boxes for the month.

Pretty much he(we) received the same box except for the socks(which I would have stolen!) he got the sunglasses. They are so cheap looking and creaky when you open them. The BF rarely complains about such things, but those glasses are going in the trash. At least socks would have been worn. Oh, well maybe next month it will be better…

My husband received the same box and for once there wasn’t a missing item or broken one!! Yeah! He was OK with the box and will use everything in it. He wasn’t overwhelmed with it and i think it was a pretty boring box myself!!! There have been better and there have been a lot worse!
