Total Beauty Red Carpet Collection Box Review & Coupon

Total Beauty Red Carpet Collection Box Review & Coupon Box

Total Beauty releases new “collections” about every month. Their latest box is the Red Carpet Collection, and since I liked the spoiler items, I had to grab one!

Total Beauty Red Carpet Collection Box Review & Coupon Items

The Box: Red Carpet Ready Collection

The Cost: $25 and free shipping (only $20 after coupon)

The Products: 5 products worth over $60. This collection features a full-size Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in Big Apple ($19 value), a matte, highly pigmented lip color that hydrates your lips while helping to prevent wrinkling. You also receive a full-size Sheswai Nail Lacquer ($16 value), a richly hued polish that’s free of formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate. (One of 7 shades available).

Total Beauty Red Carpet Collection Box Review & Coupon Info

This box came with a card that gives the retail value for each item included.

Total Beauty Red Carpet Collection Box Review & Coupon Cailyn

Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in Big Apple – FULL SIZE! Value $19

Pur-lisse Pur Delicate Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser and Makeup Remover – 1.7 oz Value $12.65

I’ve been told that this shade of Cailyn lip balm is super red, and I can’t pull off a bold red lip, so I may end up swapping this. (Cailyn is a great brand though – I love that this lip balm is free of ingredients like parabens, sulfates, phthalates, etc.

I was also excited to see Pur-lisse in this box! Their products are free of harmful ingredients, and really gentle.

Total Beauty Red Carpet Collection Box Review & Coupon Manna

Manna Sheer Glo Shimmer Lotion – .27 oz Value $8

Sheswai Nail Lacquer in Rootsy – FULL SIZE! Value $16

Since getting 3 bottles of Sheswai nail polish in my February Untoxicating Beauty subscription box, I’ve gotten a little obsessed with this brand. The formula is great, and the bottles are so cute! (FYI – this product varies, you could get one of seven shades).

Total Beauty Red Carpet Collection Box Review & Coupon Mask

Racinne Ultimate Aqua Blanc Brightening Mask – Sample Trio Value $5

This mask got a great review from a Lucky Magazine Community member, and it’s paraben-free! I’m definitely going to give it a try!

Verdict: I paid $21.25 for this box (I purchased it on the first day before the REDCARPET coupon was available), and I received a little over $60 worth of items. I’m really impressed with the latest Total Beauty Collection – everything fits the Red Carpet theme in my opinion, and I’m also very happy with the brands they included for this box.

What do you think of the Red Carpet Total Beauty Collection?

    • $95+ Value
    • 8 Items Total: 6 Beauty Products + 2 Bonuses

    • And I’m trying not to spend money right now! But it’s payday…

      • Neither am I, I cringed when I saw this deal. Because I’m always looking for hair products and my husband likes trying the hair products I get in the boxes. When I noticed it worked with the coupon code and was $17. I decided to get it. – At least I know a box with hair products, I’ll get more use out it then a box of makeup.

      • One thing I’ve noticed about TotalBeauty is that the surpise boxes have lots of goodies that can be found in other subscription boxes later, they seem to be the first ones with some of the good stuff. The values are always good. $17 ( with coupon code and free shipping for a $95+ value ) seems like a win win box — or at least I hope so.

    • Thanks Lily! Posting about it now!

      • Liz: Your welcome : ) – If the box turns out to be great I want another one – I’m so tempted to get another blush mystery box because I like the shampoo. – the older I get the more hair stuff I seem to need.

      • I’m sort of the same way. But I’ve found that the best thing for my hair is deep conditioning with coconut oil. I just warm it up a bit, coat my hair with it, then sit with it under a processing cap for a half hour. (Takes two shampoos to wash it out.) Leaves my hair so soft and smooth. Wish I had time to do it more than once a week.

      • Thanks for telling me how to use coconut oil, I just bought some a few days ago and was planning on using it on my hair — Have u tried the shampoo from the blush mystery box? — Its a bit odd, yet it works well.

      • I don’t get the Blush Mystery box. It’s looked good lately, but I’m trying to cut back on boxes. I looked the shampoo up online, though, and I am not sure what I think about it. I don’t like those products that try to take the place of both shampoo and conditioner; they never work for me (some people love Wen but it is awful for me and makes my hair look greasy). I have to use regular shampoo every day (I get a lot of sweat from working out) and so my hair gets dry. That’s what makes the coconut oil work for me.

  2. This one is currently only $19 (free shipping) with promo code WINNER.

  3. So glad I didn’t order this…that wasn’t very much for the price…compared to the box I got during their end of the year sale…or compared to Memeboxes which are a few dollars more and like…chalk-a-block with items.

  4. I got mine yesterday and it’s nice, although I don’t think $21 worth – I (thankfully) received a dark berry color nail polish called Feersure – I just had my nails done and really like it. I agree the bottle is cute as well. The lip color I have to play with it seems drying when I used it fast will take DaisyK’s advice and apply over lip balm.

As for the other products – I tried the whitening mask last night and didn’t like it, my skin is too olive or this. Haven’t tried the pur-lisse but it’s a nice travel size the Manni Sheer glow will go into my daughter in law stash as I don’t do shimmer.

For me this was not a win win as I get my nails done at a salon and don’t really need nail polish. I should have waited to get it with the discount code.

  5. Hey Liz, I received the same Cailyn lip balm in Big Apple in my September ipsy bag and it’s actually really buildable. I’m not much for a bold red lip either but I like the rosey red color I get when using a moisturing lip balm first and lightly apply the Cailyn on top. Just an FYI in case you don’t want to swap it 🙂

  6. Thank you for posting this! I was wondering what else was in the box, as I received the lip balm from Ipsy a while back and I’m not a lip gal. A couple of the other items I’ve also already received so I’m glad I waited to see what was in it. I’m going to pass on this one… waiting for the next!

  7. thanks for the helpful review Liz!!

    • You bet! 🙂

      • Yeah, I have to admit I was holding out on getting this one until after you reviewed it (wanted to know what the “secret” items were). I just got my tax refund so I’ll probably go for it, now.

      • Sometimes the secret Items are real bummers! I’m not buying because I don’t like that lip balm, but otherwise this seems like a nice box! I tried the Manna shimmer lotion in my Wantable makeupbox box this month.

      • I like bright red lip colors so that was a point in this one’s favor! Will heed the advice of others in this thread about moisturizing, though.

  8. I can’t wait to see what color nail polish I get! Yay!
