Sample Society is a monthly beauty subscription from BeautyBar.com and Allure Magazine. Typically the brands they include are high end, and the sample sizes are generous. I recommend this box for anyone who is looking for a skincare beauty sample box with the occasional hair or makeup item.
There are usually 7 variations or so of each month’s box. For reference I got the Kit C box.(You can find the Kit letter under your order history).
The Subscription Box: Sample Society
The Cost: $15 a month
The Products: Deluxe and full-size beauty and makeup samples. (Each month you also get a $15 off $50 to use on any order containing a product from any of the brands in your box).

In previous boxes Sample Society included a card detailing each item included. This month they let us know that we'd be getting an email about our box samples moving forward. (You still get the mini-mag though! Does anyone read it?)
Alterna 48-Hour Sustainable Volume Spray - .85 oz Value $5
Ahava Dead Sea Osmoter Concentrate - .17 oz Value $10
Thanks to subscription boxes, I've discovered my new favorite haircare line - Alterna! It's an eco-friendly line that is free of parabens, phthalates, and other potentially harmful ingredients. Plus all their haircare products smell great. Needless to say, I'm happy to get another Alterna hairspray!
Ahava Deadsea Water Mineral Body Lotion - 1.3 oz (Travel Size) Value $8
Phyto Ultra-repairing Mask - 1.7 oz Value $10
This hair mask gets mixed reviews on Sephora, but I like the Phyto brand, so I think I'll still give it a try, but maybe not leave it in overnight.
Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum - .17 oz Value $15
One of my frustrations with subscription samples is when they are too small for you to even be able to try the product. With skincare products, I'm always happy when a product will last at least 2 weeks so you can see if there are any results. I think this Murad sample should last me a few weeks, and it gets great reviews, so I'm pleased with this sample!
Verdict: I paid $15 for this box and received nearly $50 worth of products. I'm really happy that I didn't get any perfume samples this month, but I would have liked to see at least one makeup product. I think I'll use everything in the box though, so it's a definite win!
