@popsugar, did you just leak a spoiler in that comment?? 🙂
This is my first popsugar must have box. Not sure about doing monthly, maybe just get the limiteds. I’m very excited to get it! Wish it would ship sooner though!

If you really study the inspiration pictures I think they are clues! Did you see the comment from Popsugar? Any sea glass jewelry would be awesome. I am holding myself back from ordering another box, at the very least one would pay for itself with two towels.
Comment from Popsugar:
“Anyone else have jars of sea glass at home? Don’t worry you won’t receive broken glass in the mail…!”

Can someone put a link to their Pinterest inspiration board? I’ve tried to find it numerous times and cannot. Would love to see what they’ve pinned for the box.
I can’t take it! I have to go over the site RIGHT now and get this box. I’ve been trying to hold off but I just. can’t. take it!

As someone of Turkish heritage, I can attest to the quality of these towels, which are in fact very Turkish (one of many types of Turkish towels)! They are from the Aegean coast and are usually used in hamams (Turkish baths). They are super absorbent and dry quickly. Only thing is, I have so many, I wish we were getting something else!

My comment was geared toward what the common definition and expectation is for Americans when they see “Turkish towels.” I lived in far eastern Turkey and never saw anything like it, nor when I traveled to the turquoise coast either. So while it’s a legitimate Turkish item, it likely isn’t what most would expect from the description, since I’m guessing most subscribers haven’t lived or spent extended time in Turkey. Not challenging the validity at all. My point was in having lived there I never saw them so with the most common usage of the phrase “Turkish towels” most Americans would be expecting something quite different. Just based on common branding here.

Having lived in Turkey for a year and a half, I have to say this doesn’t look like any Turkish towel I’ve ever seen (still have several sitting in the linen closet, oddly unused after many military moves). Turkish towels are generally very fluffy with a high thread count. This must be some new spin on the name/description. But I like the idea either way.

I lived in Ankara for several years and these are definitely traditional Turkish towels (they’re called ‘pestemals’). Turkey is also becoming more and more Western with more and more European influence, so maybe you’re talking about the more European-style (regular) towels?

I’m super excited. I was hoping for ” tropical” type items. There was a picture on Pinterest that said something about the Southwest too. If anything from the beautiful inspiration pictures it looks like a great box. There was something about coconut too.
I’m happy with the towel. Going to look at Pinterest pictures again. I’m surprised this box hasn’t sold out yet. Does anyone have a clue how many boxes they make for their special edition?

I wish so much POP Sugar starts shipping to Puerto Rico! Love the idea of a
“Compact” towel.

I’m not thrilled with the look of this towel – it’s transparent! It looks more like a lightweight wrap for spring. Will this actually hold up to salt and sand? I’ll find a use for this towel, but I don’t see it coming to the beach with me.

I too looked up the towel, which said, “ultra-light and ultra- absorbent.” Should be GREAT for traveling–hate using up so much room in the suitcase for a big beach towel! This should be great!

Left out “Each towel folds up compactly with a fine weave preventing sand from getting caught between the threads.”

I can’t say how happy this make me!!! This is fabulous and not over patterned! I hope the color varies but if not this color is amazing too! The pinterest board is also very good if you are on the fence about the box .. looks promising!!

you probably saw by now but just in case, this looks like the stone color, there are rose and blue strip also. I’d rater have the blue but since I go with blue on most things I can live with the stone color too. I could be wrong but my hunch is they are sending us the same stone color one in the picture. but maybe not lol……..heck I don’t know lol.
