It’s not exclusive or limited edition if I can walk to my local CVS and buy everything I see in this picture. None of the colors are even exclusive to Birchbox right? So I fail to see how this is special in any way.

I was confused as to why everyone was so against this box. I love getting high-end products from birchbox each month but to get a box of full-size items that would normally cost me close to 60 bucks for only 13 (with my points), I said hell yes. I’ve been eyeing that mascara for awhile and since I get so many in my sub boxes I have been resisting but this seemed like the perfect time to get it, why not spend a few dollars more and get a bunch of other great stuff. I’ve always loved sally hansen nail polish. I was apprehensive about the nivea but the color is great and it actually feels amazing on my lips. Even though these are drugstore brands, these have been my go-to brands before I knew of birchbox so I always appreciate them, I think this box was a great value!

I agree too! I got my box the other day and everything is full size! I used most of these brands already and between points and a coupon my box was free. It was a great deal for these items. One you couldn’t get anywhere else. I’m incredibly happy with this box.

I totally agree! This box was wonderful! Every item was full size and of good quality. I am really pleased Birchbox put together a collection of readily available pruducts; with the benefit of a lower retail price point. Some items I’m saving as emergency back ups and some I am enjoying now. Having researched the products; I know this box was an excellent value for the money invested. Thanks Birchbox!

So, I went for it and got my box today and I am soooo glad I did!!! They are all full size the biore came in a box with I think 4 of the self heating mask, which is amazing! The new John Frieda product is amazing as well! Love the cover girl eye shadow, I received it in Ice queen… Love love love it and the mascara is incredible also!! All the products ended up being amazing…all though these are brands that’s been around for awhile all of the products are new. Now, I love all my high end beauty products but I have found many drug store brands that awesome so I sure don’t discriminate and all of these are keepers!! So glad I went ahead and got this one!!

I was sad when I saw this box. I so badly wanted the snow day box that I put it on my holiday list in the #1 slot… And didn’t get it. It sold out by the time I realized I had to buy it for myself. This time around I was going to race to buy the next LE box. I just don’t see myself using a lot of these products, or buying the ones I am interested in with coupons. At least the price point is very reasonable. Oh well. Maybe spring will be killer.

I’m going to try this box. It has products that I have thought about trying. I think it is a better value than the Julep mystery makeup box ordered 2 weeks ago and still have not received.

This reminds me of the Target bags I used to love . I loved those because they were free and came with coupons.
Maybe it is just me but I’m finding very little value in most mystery boxes lately.
Ipsy did good this month but other beauty boxes? Nope.

Probably good for a young teenage girl. I think the money value is there depending on the sizes of the products. I’m passing for myself.

I was excited about this box at first but, like everyone else, it has a lot of drugstore brands, and I coupon, so I could probably get most of this stuff, in multiples, for less than $18. Oh well.

BB finds? okay I get that, but BB finds to have the same function as their more expensive/ exclusive brands? That sound like a LE box that’s competing with their own inventory….unless they’re trying to start a “BB finds” section in the store (cause you know Soap.com belongs to Beauty Bar and they like some healthy competition….)

I feel a LE box should be something that is special ( ie, if they wanted to introduce a lot of BB Finds, mix in something exciting….like BB finds from the French BB office or the London Office….) Just 1 French BB Find probably would have made me click ” add to Cart”

Oooh a French or English (preferably French) find would be such a phenomenal idea! I’d probably buy multiples of that box!

The concept of drugstore “finds” is a fine idea, Birchbox just completely failed in the execution of it. For instance, Walgreens carries a dry shampoo that comes in several colors, the brand is Batiste and it’s awesome and cheap – would have been a great candidate for a “find”. But…..Biore? Sally Hansen? John Frieda Frizz Ease which has been around for 20 years? What’s in the next “Finds” box….St. Ives Apricot Scrub?

Amen! I’d even prefer them reintroducing older brands that have been brought back by manufacturers. Kind of like a retro themed box at the same price point. At least then there’s a decent chance most folks won’t be as familiar with the included products.

So true, I always forget that Each chain has a “discovery” section with upcoming ( and sometimes locally made) products that compete with the veterans.

Sooo not what I expected from BB. They did a little contest on their FB page last night (winner is getting the LE box free)- you had to post what you thought the theme might be. People had so many awesome guesses of what it could and I got totally excited to see what it actually was when they revealed this morning! When I saw what it actually was….so disappointed. I LOVED the LE Snow Day box. I bought one for each of my sisters for Xmas. This one will definitely be a pass for me.

Birchbox has gone to the dogs!

I just quit BB and then I saw this and got excited….but that was short lived!!! Not ANYTHING I would want to WASTE $18 on ~ BIG THUMBS DOWN!!

I have a 20% off coupon for downloading the mobile app and some rewards points. I already wanted to get a few other things, so this box wound up being free for me. I love Biore and Nivea, so I figured why not try it? Even for $18 this isn’t a bad deal, IMHO. This is supposed to be a box of finds, yes? Stuff that might not be higher end, but they love so much they share it anyway. I got the travel tea mug with the attached infuser and the agave oil from this months box along with it.

I was pretty surprised to see the items in this box… And it seems I am not alone. I knew that if I was unimpressed, then more veteran Birchbox subscribers would be too! I can’t imagine this is a good extension of their brand…they should stick to high end! It’s like a Mercedes doing a limited edition car with cheaper parts… who wants that?!

Drugstore brands from Birchbox? Did Birchbox get bought out by another company? The last 60 days has been like a different company altogether.

Major pass on this box.

Was so excited about the possibility of a limited box and 300 points to use… this is definitely not it, weird selection for BB

Meh. I like the box for the high end brands. A box full of drugstore brands doesn’t excite me.

I was so excited to see the email. That last limited box was so great, then I saw the box. Bummer, I have no interest in this box at all…. too bad.

Are drugstores taking over boxes? More & more I see this trend. I will stop getting boxes if this happens. No way am I getting this. This needs to stop.

Brittany

Seriously, it does. I can’t even convey how much I agree with you.

cheryl

Passing too -$18 for that? Not worth it at all.

Nancy

I am passing! None of this interests me at all! I think BB needs to be more creative in their L imited editions! The snow Day box is an example of one of their creative boxes!

raechel

I have not met a person or watched a youtube video where anyone has liked the bombshell mascara nor do they really like the cream shadow. I think I will pass because nothing in this box is new to me or something I would want to try! 🙂

Lauren

I know! All the reviews are awful!!! Why would they attach themselves to that kind of product! Poor move BB 🙁
