New Clothing Subscription Box - Cypress and 5th Box

Cypress and 5th is a new women's clothing subscription box. Each month your stylists put together a dressing room for you, and you can pick 2-3 pieces, or skip that month.

The Subscription Box: Cypress and 5th

The Cost: $74.95 a month

COUPON: Use coupon code SUBADDICT to save 15% off now through Feb 28th.

The Products: Your pick of either a dress and an accessory, or a top, a bottom and an accessory.

Ships to: US Only

One thing I already like about this subscription is that you can opt out of any month you're not interested in. And the clothes look cute too! What do you think of Cypress and 5th?

How long does it take to get your dressing room populated after taking the quiz?

We are really sorry to all of mysubcriptionaddiction’s readers. Our discount redemption is currently down. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and we hope this does not sway your opinion of us. The code should be working by next week.

xoxo,

I tried creating an account but the site doesn’t even show such an option. I only have an iPad to use at home so sites like this not being optimized for tablet use is a big issue. It’s hard to believe in this day and age one couldn’t anticipate this need. I have no problem with the limited sizes as there are other subs that fill a need for larger sizes (and I fall within their size options, so it’s a non issue personally). However, I do have a problem when I can’t even sign up for the site!

Hello Erin

You can sign up on your tablet but it does take a second. I seem to have to double or triple click next when I test it out. However, you will not be able to pick an outfit on a tablet because of the lack of certain programs. Tablets are still very limited in doing what most computers can do and we are currently not at a place where we can create an app for a tablet or smartphone. Those are additional costs that are currently outside our means as a small new business.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience.

why does it say the coupon expired? it’s supposed to be good until Feb 28? hmmmm. is it because they’re fixing the 45% discount glitch? i’d be happy with 15% discount, but waiting for a promo code that works, since i’m really not sure what the quality of these items will be?

Hi Jennah! Our discount is now working so please give us another try!! Thank you for our patience!

This looked fun so I signed up! However, I can’t get any of the items from my dressing room dragged into the box. Perhaps because I am using an iPad? Anyone else had this problem? I did not think any of the shirts met my style so I am not too bummed that I can’t get through the process. There was a really cute Aztec cardigan I would have liked to see! Anyway, just wondering if anyone else had problems using an iPad?

Hi Megan and Bobbi

We are sorry but our site is not optimized for a tablet or smartphone. There are additional programming that must be done in order for us to get those working and we are currently not in a position to do so. However, it is something that is on our list of to-dos.

Megan, if you would like a new room or a particular item that you saw, we would be more than happy to accommodate. Please email us and we will try our best to help you!

Yes, I had the same problem! I don’t think it is optimized for ipad use.

Ya got me Liz… I saw that black dress and had to have it, and asked them to put it in my dressing room which they politely did! That discount is a 45% off discount btw which I was very happy to use. With this and the Goldentote mystery box I am done buying clothes for the month!

Hi Adina! The discount was system mess up and you got super lucky. We are fixing the problem as I type 😉

Nice! I think thanks to subscription boxes I haven’t bought clothes via regular online shopping in a while! 🙂

I used the SUBADDICT code and received a discount that was much higher than 15%. I’m not sure if that was for the code or for being a new subscriber, but either way, YAY!

My closet just opened today, and already my first choice for a top was sold out. But I had been waffling between that and another top, so it wasn’t so bad to go with my second choice.

My only complaint is that we can’t see many details of the items. There’s a single, flat view and no descriptions, such as inseam on leggings or whether the cardigan has pockets. But I rationalize that by comparing to Stitch Fix, in which we get no preview at all and that’s part of the fun.

I hope they fit well and look nice, because the return policy is what I would consider moderate (I pay for return shipping, and cannot return the whole outfit without subtracting the styling fee). If the outfit works out well, it’s a really nice deal!

Also, for future reference, if you scroll your mouse of the small images in your dressing room, there is materials description. There is also Inseams taken from Small bottoms, Waist to Hem from Small skirts and Should to Hem from Small dresses

This subscription looks great! I think Cypress and 5th would be a huge hit with all the ladies at UNC!! I know so many girls who would consider $74.95 for one of these outfits an incredible deal! I can’t wait for my dressing room to be up! Thanks Liz!

Hi Brittany! Thank you for the enthusiasm! We believe that we would do very well on college campuses =D We are actually working on putting together a traveling trunk campaign in the fall to visit as many schools in the south that we can reach. Happy Shopping!

Too bad … this one is out for me too. I wear a size 12.

Reply ButtonReply

cypress & 5th

Hi Andrea!! We are right on the cusp of 10-12. Please take our style quiz and we will let you know if we can get you a dressing room! If we are not able to, we are very sorry but we will still have you on file for when we are able to. We are currently looking into having a better variety of sizes.

Cypress & 5th

For all the women that have concerns about our sizing, which we know is limited, we truly apologize. Since we are a brand new company we had to make very hard decisions on how to stretch our our funds. However, we are aggressively looking to see how we can expand our services.

If you have any concerns, questions or want to be place on the update list when we get betting sizing options please contact us via email [email protected]

Happy New Year Nancy!! We are so glad you liked our concept and so sorry that we cannot extend our services out to you but we are aggressively looking at new vendors to try to add more options. However, if you are between a 10-12 we might still be able to style a dressing room for you. Please take our style quiz and we will contact you privately.

As a new start-up we are very limited in how our funds were allocated and we had to be smart in buying. Please accept our sincere apologies and please do not rule us out completely. We are aggressively looking on how to expand our services.

The average woman in America today wears a size 14. I have no idea why none of these clothing subscriptions accommodate at least the “average” woman and maybe go to 16? Come on!

Reply ButtonReply

Cypress & 5th

Hello Angela. We completely understand where you are coming from and we tried to included more sizing when we were building our business model but it gets very tricky when it comes to sourcing a large variety of size options. We are a small boutique company that is growing. We are trying to have more sizing variety so please be patient as we try our best to better service everyone that may be interested.

That’s good to hear. I could probably wear tops from your site as I wear a Large, but in pants I wear a size 18 petite, so that’s out for me!

Hello,

I hope you can do a review of this one: https://www.socialbliss.com/style-box

WOAH, $75 bucks! That’s just too much for a monthly subscription. And what’s the deal with the size 10 being a large? Why omit so many women from ordering. What a silly business model.

Reply ButtonReply

Cypress & 5th

Hello LizM!

The $75 dollars gets you a 2-3 items of your choice with shipping included!! There is never a commitment. If you end up not liking what you choose, you can return it. We are building our company around what we would like if we were clients.

As for the sizing… We know that our sizing is restricted due to the vendors that we use and because as a new start-up we are trying our best to allocate our funds. We are currently looking into this concern and hope to be able to service as many women as possible.

LizM

I appreciate you answering all the comments. I like that you can choose and return the clothes. I also like that you can skip months. I may try your subscription in the future.

Nancy

I was interested in joining this and went to look at it right away. But they only go up to size 10, which is their large. I am not much larger than that, but I definitely can’t go that small! Guess it out for me.
