Love With Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon - Jan 2014 Cookie

Home Free Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies

Colombia Hand Drip Coffee

I feel like these mini chocolate chip cookies have been in so many subscription boxes, but they are gluten free and delicious, so no complaints here!

Love With Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon - Jan 2014 Almonds

Blue Diamond Lightly Salted Almonds

Annie's Organic Berry Berry Chewy Granola Bar

These almonds are a great snack to have in my purse. I just ordered more with my Love with Food points!

Love With Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon - Jan 2014 Candy

Lovely Candy Co Superfruit Chews

Jer's Squares Chocolates

Oskri Orange Bar

I like all the of the Oskri coconut bars I've tried, so I was excited to try this orange bar. I eat a lot of bars like this since I avoid gluten and dairy, and the dried oranges were a nice change!

Love With Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon - Jan 2014 Skinny

Mama's Magic Mix

Hi I'm Skinny Minis Sea Salt Sticks

The ingredients in this magic mix make me so jealous of everyone who get to eat it: freeze dried bananas and strawberries, salted peanuts, caramel puffs & chocolate covered graham crackers. It sounds amazing - let me know if it tastes as good as I imagine it does!

Verdict: I think the January Love With Food is a good mix of items and they've featured a lot of brands that were new to me - so that's always a plus! What was your favorite snack or treat in this month's box?

I have been really happy with the box so far, Jan & Dec 2014 were great but oh man what a let down for Feb! It’s Valentine’s Day and I got no more than 2 squares of chocolate and a coupon for a product that I didn’t even get a sample of! They really let me down, I mean, who wants garlic olives and white bean tortilla chips for Valentines Day???

I wrote them I was unhappy with this box since there were so many bad items in it. Many days later this is their reply and response (and why I’m canceling. If you don’t care about your customers, other subscription box companies WILL!):
Hi,

We do strive to only include items in the box that are all-natural or organic items.

For the month of January, it was our mistake that we have included items that include artificial ingredients.

This mistake will not happen again for future boxes.

Many thanks,

I don’t have any problems with GMOs. I have food allergies and can’t eat gluten or dairy. So, I’m interested in this box for that reason. I’ve been thinking of subscribing.

I was extremely disappointed in this box. Nearly everything was toxic junk. Loaded with GMOs, cheap, dirty ingredients, hidden MSG, chemicals and preservatives like sodium benzoate. I really hate when marketers go out of their way to promote a product as being healthy, but when you read the ingredients, it has no truth to it. I am canceling. There are many other actual healthy choices out there!

Didn’t it say GMO free? As in
“The Products: 8 or more snacks that are always organic, all natural, GMO-free, gluten-free or free of artificial junk.”

I agree that without GMO labeling, it’s hard to tell for example, a corn ingredients in GMO’ed. Unless the food contains “GMO project verified”.

It says “or” Which means each item is at least one of those things. They can be more than one but they are only guaranteeing each item to be organic, gluten free, all natural, GMO free OR free of all artificial junk.

Which is my only reservation with this box since I can’t eat gluten at all. I never know which items I would actually be able to eat. I do want to try this box, though.

I was curious and subscribed when they had that $10 off promo code on their website so I got this box for only a few bucks. I LOVED the Mama’s Magic Mix and the tiny Jer’s Pretzo Change-o. The rest was kind of meh… I can’t imagine paying full-price for this so I went ahead and cancelled.

This was my first Love With Food box after getting a 6 month subscription on Rue La La. My cost is about $7-8 per box and I don’t know that’s it’s worth much more than that, but my boyfriend will like having the snacks around! And I got a $15 Soap.com coupon when I ordered because LWF was having a promotion.

The Mama’s Magic Mix is unbelievably tasty! I can’t wait to order more!!

I was a subscriber of love with food way back when they first started but eventually stopped to try out some other subscriptions. This month I started us back up with the deluxe box option. Unfortunately it appears the deluxe members kinda got screwed this month as our boxes were missing at least the mama magic mix and my box was also missing the skinny sticks. Instead I was given apple chips which in my mind certainly are not worth the downgrade. On the plus side Love With Food answered my message of disappointment and said the Magic mix would be sent directly to me from the company and if skinny sticks can not do the same they will credit my account. Good customer service is definitely a plus. I’m looking forward to hopefully a chocolate heavy box for February!

I was missing both of those items, too. The apple chips were good, but I can make my own in my food dehydrator. The deluxe box was a little too much for me, though, so I canceled (with the intent to re-subscribe to the tasting box, but I’m kind of overflowing with snacks right now and Bestowed and Vegan Cuts are a little more to my taste, I think).

I like that the deluxe box comes with lots of doubles- snacks for me AND the hubby! 🙂

Shannon

I’m surprised with the negative comments on this post, I always LOVE my love with food boxes and this month was no exception. The mama’s magic mix was delicious! plus the bigger bags on her website are only $6 , so I’m definitely going to try out the other flavors.

Where did you find that? When I click on their “shop” option it’s not there(

I actually went to the website (mamasmagicmix.com) and saw it there.

I first gave a 3 month subscription to my mom of Love With Food, she wasn’t thrilled with it. Then I got a deal with a code and got me one, I felt what they gave was not worth it and was more disappointed then using what they sent so I cancelled. I’m realizing with some of the less expensive boxes they are not providing a service to sample and “buy” , which I think is more the goal then then subscription.

i canceld my subscrption with them i had placed an order on jan the 9th , never heard anything no tracking number or anything, they also messed up my subscrption, i sent 4 emails called etc nothing no reply.

Sneaky Burrito

I e-mailed them last week and only heard back yesterday. So I think they are slow to respond. Also, based on the content of my e-mail conversation with them, you have to be subscribed to the box on the beginning of the month to get the box for that month, even though they don’t ship until later.
