POP Basic Review Box

POP Basic is a monthly clothing box just like Golden Tote - it's not a traditional subscription box, but they release a new collection every month, and you can preview it and decide if you want to buy for that month.

POP Basic kindly sent me the December box to review. This is the Melodie Collection.

POP Basic Review Reveal

The Box: POP Basic

The Cost: Ranges from $50 to $100 based on the month, this month's collection is $56

The Products: A micro outfit collection, usually including 2-3 pieces.

Ships to: Worldwide FOR FREE!

Check out the Women's Subscription Box Directory for more boxes!

POP Basic Review Info

Each box comes with a card highlighting the items included in the collection.

POP Basic Review Jewelry

Sugar Plum Earrings - Value $15

These earrings are cute, but not my style, I think I'll end up gifting them.

POP Basic Review Reversible Dress

Melodie Dress - Value $75

This dress is fully lined and reversible! I like the bow in front more, so that's how I'll be wearing it. For me it feels more like a summery dress, so I can't wait until the weather gets warm again so I can wear it. It's comfortable and surprisingly flattering so I'm definitely a fan!

Verdict: I am impressed with quality of both items in my first POP Basic box, and now I'll be watching to see what the January collection is! (I also love that they ship free worldwide!)

What do you think of POP Basic?

I wanted to look at their website, but it isn’t any good. 🙁

I’m debating over this, golden tote, and Le Tote (which I just heard about yesterday! It’s like a Netflix for clothes at $50/month and you can get as many boxes as you want during the month for just that one price!)… try le tote and report back to us! Your reviews are so trustworthy! 🙂

I was on Le Tote for a couple months when it first came out. My stylist was alright in sending the different pieces to me, but she took it upon herself to send me looks a little outside of my comfort zone, which was fun, but I only ended up wearing about one or two blouses througout the whole time. I got most use out of the jewelry. My biggest complaints were 1. If you loved the garment, you couldn’t keep it. 2. You had to pay extra $5 insurance so you don’t end up paying full price of the garment if you happen to stain or rip it. 3. It took longer time for shipping and returning than I thought, I only received 2 boxes in a month, and that was when I tried to wear whatever that night to return it and get something new. And I was shipping from So. CA to No. CA I figured it would be super quick! Nope! 4. For $50 month, not worth it to me. Hopefully they’ve revamped their system.

Hmm… well now it looks like you can pay for items you love, so that you CAN keep them (just return everything else and they’ll automatically charge you for what you kept). I like hearing ask the feedback though, cause it gives me more to think about when deciding!

Might be another addition to my closet! Cute!
