My Favorite Subscription Box Discoveries of 2013

One of the best parts of subscription boxes for me is discovering new products! I decided to do a wrap up of 2013 by reflecting on some of my favorite products I discovered this year! (I'd love to hear what your favorite products are too!)

Inika Makeup - Discovered through Saffron Rouge Inner Circle 

I've been really into natural makeup this year, so finding the brand Inika was perfect for me. I first sampled their foundation, and then I bought it in full size in addition to their bronzer. (Birchbox sells this brand too!)

Supergoop Daily Correct CC Cream - Discovered though several boxes

These little CC Cream samples seemed to be a lot of boxes earlier in the year, and fortunately for me I love the formula so I was always happy to find more in a box! (I did break down and buy the full size version though). It's one of the more heavier coverage BB/CC creams, which is perfect for me, and it's paraben and fragrance free!

100% Pure products - Discovered through Birchbox

I think the first 100% Pure sample I tried was lotion in a foil packet that looked a lot like a ketchup packet. (Even though I hated the sample size, I loved the product, and couldn't believe it was made with all natural ingredients!) I now use their lip crayon, mascara, and coconut lotion on a regular basis!

Tarte Lights Camera Flashes Mascara - Discovered through GlossyBox

This is my go-to mascara for crazy volume and length. And it's free of parabens and phthalates!

Wet Brush - Discovered through POPSUGAR Must Have

I still don't know what the design difference is between this brush and other brushes, but it works amazing in wet hair. I use it after every shower!

Runa Tea - Discovered through Birchbox

I used to hate getting tea samples in boxes, but now I love it. (I made the switch from coffee to tea a few months ago). My absolute favorite tea is the Runa Tea in Cinnamon Lemongrass. It's made with organic and fair trade ingredients  - and it has as much caffeine as a cup of coffee!

Golden Tote Cozy Sweaters (and anything Puella) - Discovered through Golden Tote

I've definitely gotten more obsessed with Golden Tote this year (I need January spoiler pics!), and I find myself wearing the sweaters I get in their monthly totes all the time.  I also can't wait to get more Puella items in upcoming totes - I love that I can get Anthropologie items at such a discount, and all of my Puella items are SO soft and cozy!

Beauty Blender - Discovered through Birchbox

I use this every day to apply foundation and love it. (If you haven't tried it yet and plan to, the key is to wet it first!)

Workout Clothing - Discovered through Ellie and Fabletics

Up until this year my workout clothing collection was just a mismatched drawer full of free t-shirts and random shorts. I did a complete wardrobe overhaul this year thanks to Ellie and Fabletics - I love that all my workout clothing is now flattering and stylish!

Meal/Recipe Delivery - Discovered through Plated and Hello Fresh

Getting fresh ingredients and new recipes delivered every week has definitely been a 2013 game changer for me and my husband. Thanks to how easy it is, we've been trying out new healthy meals we normally wouldn't try to make. Just the other night we discovered we love brussels sprouts thanks to a delicious Plated Beef and Brussels Sprouts Stir Fry!

Honest Products - Discovered through The Honest Company

I knew about Honest products in 2012, but I think 2013 is the year they officially took over our house! From handsoap, to shampoo and conditioner, to dishwasher detergent - we use their products everyday, and I can't wait for them to release more products in 2014!

Where'd' You Go, Bernadette? - Discovered through Hammock Pack

This book came in a summer getaway box from Hammock Pack, and I read it on a summer weekend and absolutely loved it. Now I just need to lend it to someone else to enjoy!

New Favorite Scarves - Discovered through POPSUGAR Must Have

I don't think I bought any scarves this year because POPSUGAR Must Have kept me supplied! I loved the summer pink and blue striped scarf, and the recent Michael Stars scarf has been in heavy rotation in my wardrobe!
