bestowed-dec-saffron-road

Saffron Road Thai Red Curry Simmer Sauce - Value $4.25

This sauce is vegan and gluten-free! It's also made with wholesome ingredients - definitely a great pantry item for non-Plated meal nights!

bestowed-dec-baked-fries

Kind Bar in Dark Chocolate Chili Almond - Value $1.50

Snikiddy All Natural Baked Fries in Cheddar - Value $1.50

My husband liked the cheddar fries, and I love Kind bars, so these items were wins!

bestowed-dec-simply-stock

Pacific Organic Chicken Simply Stock - Value $2

Simple Organic Mediterranean Herb Greek Yogurt Dip - Value $2

Organic chicken broth and Simply Organic mixes are both staples in our pantry, so I'm always happy to have more. (I love these smaller chicken stock containers). I use simply organic chili mix nearly every week, so I love trying new mixes - I may even try this with coconut yogurt!

bestowed-dec-crunch

I Heart Keenwah in Ginger Peanut - Value $5

These were really good, but very hard (not sure if I just tried them too soon after they had been in the cold weather though).

Verdict: I thought the curation of the box this month was excellent. All the products were healthy and many of them were organic. I also appreciate a mix of snack and pantry items. On the flip side, this month's value wasn't as great as other months. I paid $19 for this box and received $16.25 worth of items (plus a $1 off coupon for Saffron Road items). If they consistently sent out boxes with a value of less than what I paid, I would probably think about canceling this subscription, but most boxes have had a value of more than what I paid, plus I really like the items this month, so I'll keep subscribing!

What did you think of the December Bestowed box?

I feel like these subscription boxes are going to kill themselves by at least not matching the value of what you paid. A box should NEVER have a value below what was paid.

I agree. I ordered my first box and was VERY disappointed at how little we get. It doesn’t even add up to what we pay for. It did introduced me to food options I’ve never had before and they were all great. I ended up cancelling my subscription with them.

A bunch of those products are at my local Whole Foods- I think I would subscribe to something like this only if it would introduce me to new foods.

Was planning to cancel and nothing in this month’s box changed my mind. Good, but not quite good enough.
