HauteLook Fall Beauty Bag Review - November 2013

For some reason, HauteLook Beauty Bags always arrive in a plain brown box with a return address that looks like it's someone's personal home address. (My other HauteLook orders all come in branded boxes). Needless to say, I'm always pleasantly surprised when I open this box and find it's my HauteLook beauty bag!

I too received dried out mascara. It is sad to me that people were receiving dried out mascara when the bag was first released. I’m not sure if I will purchase a bag from them again, but I do have a $5 for the mascara with HauteLook so I may try it once more.

I am NOT impressed. The items came in the blue bag but it came from someone named Renee Miller NOT Hautelook. The mascara is completely dried out which means it is old. I have asked that they send me a new one.

Becuase of how old the mascara is I am concerned about the rest of the items as well. The Laura Geller eyeshadow stick is interesting. I am wearing it today but I think I’d rather buy from the company next time.

I find this situation to be unacceptable and will be posting a complaint on Hautelook’s facebook. Using makeup that has come from someone else’s home is kind of gross to me. I will never purchase a beauty bag form them again.

The same thing happened to me, Abby. The products in the Beauty Bag are so old that I do not even feel safe trying them. The mascara is dried out, the firming lotion is separated, and my eyeshadow spackle doesn’t work. I have asked for a full refund from the company because I do not think these bags should have been sold in the first place. Very disappointed and definitely not doing business with them again.

I also got the dried up lash fusion mascara. Overall the beauty bag was great. I’m glad I saw these comments because I was starting to think that’s how the mascara was intended to be. Clearly it’s not.

Because of the comments here I checked mascara and it was also dry. To me it’s a problem with Lash Fushion since they provided these samples. Makes me wonder how good their products are.

Is this still available? I cannot find it on the website 🙁

Kristina

No. Everything on their site is available for a limited time and they do not carry many. Many products sell out.

My mascara was completely dried up and unusable as well. I sent them an email regarding the issue so we will see if they will send out a new one or offer some form of compensation.

Just got mine – The mascara is completely dried up, and I’m pretty annoyed because ALL 3 of the Hautelook Beauty Bags I’ve ordered have had some kind of issue. One was missing product, one had broken things AND missing product, and this one has an unusable mascara. I never have problems with Ipsy, Glossybox, etc so I’m not sure why Hautelook can’t get it together!

I got mine today. I had ordered 2 for my mom and I and they left out the nail polish and the firming cream sample in 1 of the bags. I’m dissappointed because we both wanted the nail polish. Do you know if they will correct this if I contact them?

Definitely contact them. They usually don’t have backup samples on hand, but should be able to offer you some sort of refund.

This bag looks like the exact one Sephora gave out recently for beauty insiders..only this ones blue! I didn’t jump on this one, but I definitely will the next time!

I loved the bag, its so cute.
The mascara was a little dry, but other than that, I think it was worth the price. I was happy with the value 🙂

I received mine last week and it did look like it came from someone’s home!! lol. No clue what that’s about it, but it arrived safe and sound. I love getting these bags because I can “regift” the items I don’t want, and it makes for a nice little goody bag for someone. I like that it gives me a chance to try stuff I wouldn’t normally buy, to see if I like it enough to buy. Thanks for the review.
