Sample Society Review - October 2013

Sample Society by Beauty Bar is one of my favorite beauty subscription boxes. The cost is relatively low ($15) and they always send out high quality skincare products and other deluxe and full size makeup samples.

Every box comes with a card detailing each item - the theme this month is New Fall Favorites.

The Box: Sample Society

The Cost: $15 a month

The Products: Deluxe and full-size beauty and makeup samples. (Each month you also get a $15 off $50 to use on any order containing a product from any of the brands in your box).

Butter London Polish in British Racing Green - FULL SIZE! Value $15

IPKN BB Cream - deluxe size Value $15

I am always thrilled when I find a butter London polish in a subscription box - and this shimmery evergreen shade reminds me of the holidays!

Radical Skin Care Age Defying Exfoliating Pads - 15 pads Value $14.25

417 Hand Moisturizer - 1.7 oz Value $7

Both of these brands are new to me, and I can't wait to try them. These exfoliating pads get excellent reviews, and the hand cream smells amazing!

Diptyque 34 Boulevard St. Germain Eau ed Toilette - 2 ml Value $4

Verdict: I paid $15 for this box and received over $50 worth of beauty products. I'm very happy with the value of the October box, and I'll use everything besides the perfume (the scent wasn't for me). What did you think of the October Sample Society box?

Dyptique is my FAVORITE perfumerie! I would recommend trying out their scents, especially Do Son and Olene.

I received Malin&Goetz vitamin E moisturizer which is great for dry skin and seemed like a full sample(not half full). 417 hand cream which is almost 2 ounces, great size also most too large for a purse. Pur Lisse youth serum which I can’t wait to try and IPKN BB cream. My only wish is that I had gotten any other color of Butter London nail polish. I got The Old Bill which looks like a penny rose copper– hitch ill make me look jaundice. Anyone wanna trade?

Okay Liz, I’ve finally broken down and subscribed! It was your praise for the box and Butter London. I unfortunately missed this month but will be receiving the November box.

I got The Old Bill, a pretty bownn metallic gold color for my BL. Very pretty. I also got Pur’Lisse serum and also had Malin & Goetz Vitamin E moisturizer. My only disappointment was that the BB cream had barely any sample in the tube. I tried it on my hand and loved it. Might need to go for a full size with the coupon!

I have “Scuppered” in mine. I haven’t tested it on me yet but it’s a really pretty shade of brown and when I move the bottle around, small bits of glitter shine. Pretty excited because this is my very 1st “Butter London” polish and later this month in another sub, I’ll be getting my very 1st “Zoya”….. awesome month so far! The only other different item was instead of having the “Radical Skincare pads”, I’ve got the “Pur’Lisse Youth Preserve Skin Serum”…. Wonderful 2nd box!!! I agree about the perfume, not sure how to take it but I accidentally sprayed WAY too much on me earlier when I was testing it out so after choking on it for a couple of hours, it seemed to disappear.

I almost resubscribed but I didn’t. I wonder if everyone got the same butter london shade? I adore BL, but that green wouldn’t have worked for me. Did anyone else get a different shade?

I received scuppered which is a nice brown with some glitter. I also didn’t receive the Radical skin pads.
