Subscription Boxes for College Students - UBOX Review

UBOX is a care package subscription box for college students. College student subscription services seem to be the latest monthly box trend and I think it’s a great idea.

UBOX kindly sent me this box to review.

Power Bank Fashion Light 2600 mAh – Value $49.99

Febreze Set & Refresh – Value $3

This power bank is such a great idea for a college student subscription box (or probably for just about anyone). I’m going to send this one to my brother at college!

Pura-Fit Earbuds – 2 pack Value $2

I don’t think I ever used an iron in college (or since then!) and I know I would have used this wrinkle releaser a lot!

Starkbucks Via Ready Brew Mocha Flavored Coffee, Now & Laters in Strawberry, Pop Rocks in Cherry, Air Heads in Watermellon, Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Single Serve Mini Bag – Value $5 total

Verdict: I thought this was a very thoughtfully curated box for college students. This box had a value of over $70 which is more than double the cost of the box, and I liked the variety of products too.

What do you think of UBOX?

  1. This will be great as a care package for my daughter going away to college next year. Hope to see improvements then.

  2. I love ubox, it’s really helpful since I live far away from home.. saves gas for me.

  3. I just purchased this for my niece and she liked it… Both her and her roommate enjoyed it. You should try suggesting some items to them. I did, and they seemed very appreciative.

  4. agreed. looks like they went to the dollar store and boxed a ton of random items. maybe this box could benefit from themes like; sweet tooth, clean house, organize, etc. and curate all their items around that idea. cause this box, stinks.

    • Besides, it’s just something to receive in the mail. Which is convenient for me because I just don’t have the time to send care packages.

  5. It looks like they just threw together a bunch of random stuff. I’m not super impressed.

    • Hi Shannon, Gabby, & Heather,
Thank you for your input! Because this is our premier box, it is doing what it is supposed to, which is trigger feedback. We are definitely a work-in-progress and are working on partnerships with “other” companies as we speak. If you would like to see certain items (or themes) in our box, please do not hesitate to contact us on our page We LOVE input, “good” or “bad”. Take care.
      School is cool,

  6. Looks like someone raided a Family Dollar. College kids do that already.
