Quarterly Subscription Box Review - Veronica Belmont #NOM05

The Veronica Belmont subscription from Quarterly is all about discovering the best food from San Francisco. I lived in SF for a year, so I thought this would be a fun box to get every quarter.

Mustache Chip Clips - Value $4

Papalote Salsa - Value $6.99

Apparently the Papalote Salsa is pretty much the best salsa in SF (maybe the world). I can't wait to try it! I'm not nearly as excited about the mustache clips though. I think you know you're addicted to subscription boxes when you receive your second pair of mustache chip clips from a subscription box. (My first set comes from the Pink Fancy box).

Salsabol - Value $16

A bowl that never lets you spill salsa - I love it!

Alcohol Warning Shot Glasses- Value $4.50

Verdict: This box was a mixed bag for me. I'm so excited to try the Papalote salsa, and the Salsabol is fun too. The mustache clips and shot glasses aren't going to be much use to me though. I was expecting more food items from this box based on the description, so I was a little disappointed to see only a jar of salsa in this box. Also, I paid $50 for this box and received about $32 worth of product. I think I'm going to cancel this subscription for now - the value of the box and the items included aren't what I expected. What do you think of the Veronica Belmont Quarterly subscription?

UPDATE: Turns out new boxes from Veronica Belmont will be $50 a quarter, but this box was only $25. Given the difference, I'm much happier with the value of this box!

I don’t think it’s worth it this time. I thought it would be a box of all local stuff from SF. Sorry, but my mom makes the BEST salsa in the world! LOL
