Birchbox Man Review - October 2013

Birchbox Man is a monthly subscription box for men - every box includes grooming and lifestyle products. My husband has been subscribing for about a year now, and he's been happy with this subscription and the value of each box.

Lucky Tiger Muscle Rub - FULL SIZE! Value $12

This Muscle Rub is made with all natural ingredients - and it sort of smells like root beer!

Lab Series Age Rescue + Face Lotion - 1 oz Value $26.50

EvolutionMan Cleanse & Shave - .5 oz Value $2.25

This is a very generous deluxe sample of the Lab Series Face Lotion - it's more than half the size of the full-size product!

Eastern Collective Auxiliary Cable - $13.95

We can always use a spare auxiliary cable, and the cord on this one is fun!

Verdict: We paid $20 for this box and received over $60 worth of product - I think this is one of the highest Birchbox Man values yet! I was also pleased to see no foil packets or cologne samples this month! What items did you get in your October Birchbox Man box?

Yep,
Significant other was not impressed. We received the Quirky stylus and iphone holder, interesting idea, but really cheaply executed. It seems so dinky–this should be priced at $4.95 not $27.95. All dop kit sample’s were very small, 2 Herban Essentials towelette’s(which I love and use in our home), a billy jealousy moisturizer(Again?) and the only useful item shave cream… I hope Birchbox steps up its game.
I am trying to convince my man over here of how wonderful monthly subscriptions can be…
*For the record this Birchbox Man was marked for the advanced user*.

I got mine yesterday. It was similar but came with an Iphone 5 lightning cable from the same company that made the aux cable in this review. Mine also came with the lip balm and evolutionman cleanser.
Besides the iphone cable the other different items were Heran Essentials Towelettes (2) and Billy Jealousy Combination Code Face Moisturizer.

My husbands birchbox was less than impressive this month. Not a good one at all. The Quirky seems junky and useless to me and the samples are boring and dinky.
I think the box that was reviewed looks stellar. How can we get a box like that next time. Hmmm……profile and setting changes?

Another who would have preferred a cable, but the quirky is just too large to carry around to use as a stylus. This (October) was my most disappointing box to date, but for that, it was *still* pretty good.

We received the qwirky. While I would have loved the usb cable, the qwirky will be used. In the winter my son finds a stylus is more accurate than the gloves. Unfortunately, a stylus is hard to keep track of when you are running around campus. I found that I ran my finger parallel to the stylus for a comfortable grip. The key chain slips off easily when you unscrew it and you can attach to your normal keychain when not being used as a stand. At least it is better than the passport cover from last month.

The other items I will be stealing for myself. Like the wipes and the face moisturizer.

My husband received the Qwirky as well. He definitely would’ve been thrilled with the cable. His profile says he is a sweatpants lounging around type of guy. Maybe we should fiddle with his profile settings some.

The October box I received was less than impressive. In the box was the Quirky “upwrite” stand/stylus/keychain; not sure that this works for any of the uses …very bulky to use as a stylus, the key part was quite cheap….

2nd month in a row I received the Bill Jealousy sample.

Some months have been good and others no so much…hope it gets better for the holidays
