My Big Day Box Review - August 2013

My Big Day Box is a beauty subscription box for brides and beauty lovers. They have two different subscriptions plans you can sign up for, so I imagine in the future the bride box may be different from the beauty lover box. The August box is their inaugural box, and they kindly sent me this box to review!

My Big Day Box Review - August 2013

LEX Nail Lacquer in Dying Embers - Value $10

Giella LIp Paint Sample in Rose Delight - Value $3

I love the red and pink glitter in this grey nail polish - I definitely have nothing like it! (Oh, and it's 3-free!)

My Big Day Box Review - August 2013

Demeter Fragrance in Salt Air Roll On Perfume Oil  - Value $10

PRECRIBEDsolutions Intense Eye Therapy - Value $100

Hanson Skincare Vitamin C Serum Sample - Value $4

I think a month or two ago, this Salt Air Demeter Roll On was a possible item you could get in your Ipsy bag. I really wanted to try it, but didn't get it in my bag, so I'm glad I finally got to sample it. I haven't decided yet if I love it or not!

My Big Day Box Review - August 2013

SOYJOY Bar in Blueberry - Value $1.50

Mineral Hygienics $15 Gift Code

Verdict: I'm impressed with the first box from My Big Day Box! The evening clutch with every box is a cute idea, and while this month's clutch wasn't really my style, I'm curious to see what bags they include in future boxes! What do you think of the first My Big Day Box?

I was one of the first to sign up for this so I got locked in at the price of 18 dollars a month. The value of the bag and products far exceeds that amount. I loved everything in it, including the bag. I got black. We’re only getting one more month before they turn quarterly, but I think they have a customer for life with me. It’s not only the products, it’s their top notch customer service, which is the most important thing to me in a company. They listen to their subscribers and respond. 🙂

I LOVE that clutch!

I like that the subscription comes with an evening bag instead of cosmetic case. The prescribed solutions intense eye therapy is an incredibly expensive item to have been included in the box as full size! Have you tried it yet?

I was really happy with the box too. I thought the quality of the bag itself made it worth the $18! Pink isn’t my thing (well, neither are clutch purses), but my 7-year-old daughter went NUTS for it. I think if I had gotten the silver one, I’d have kept it.

I also liked the salt air perfume a lot, which surprised me.

I didn’t care about the SoyJoy bar, and thought it was out of place with the type of box this was.

I had to cancel my sub right after because we’re buying a house and I need to cut back, but if I could have, I would have kept it. 🙂

This is awesome! I just looked and the August box is still available, but it’s $34.95. Still worth it! I love that nail polish!! Ordering now!

Oh yeah, that nail polish: I type a lot and have to keep my nails short, so I don’t ever do nail polish, but my nine-year-old daughter snatched that polish and it looked unique and lovely. It looked kind of muddy in the bottle so I was skeptical, but I was impressed when my daughter wore it.
