Blush Mystery Beauty Box Review - August 2013

I think the Blush Mystery Beauty Box gets better every month! They launched their beauty subscription this year, and in the past few months it's turned into one of my favorite boxes! The products they include are high-quality, and the value is amazing too ($100+ each month).

Blush Mystery Beauty Box Review - August 2013

The Box: Blush Mystery Beauty Box

The Cost: $24.95 a month (or $34.95 for a one time purchase)

The Products: Over $100 of beauty products.

Check out all my Blush Mystery Beauty Box reviews and the Beauty Subscription Box Directory!

Blush Mystery Beauty Box Review - August 2013

Lots of products this month!

Blush Mystery Beauty Box Review - August 2013

MOR Emporium Hand Cream in Snow Gardenia - FULL SIZE! Value $20

Philip B. Maui Wowie Volumizing & Thickening Beach Mist - FULL SIZE! Value $22

I didn't think I would like this Maui Wowie spray as much as I do! It's paraben and phthalate free - which is pretty difficult to find in hair products! So far I've just tried it on dry hair, and the result has been some texture, and a lot of volume. From what I've read, you can get a very beachy textured look by spraying it on damp hair, so that's what I'll try next!

Blush Mystery Beauty Box Review - August 2013

Pixi Beauty Endless Siolky Eye Pen in No 2 Black/Blue - FULL SIZE! Value $15

Anatasia Beverly hills Lash Genius Clear Waterproof Topcoat - .11 oz Value $12.15

This pixi eyeliner glides on SO easily - I love it! And it's not too blue, so I can definitely use it for an everyday look. It's also waterproof, and free of preservatives and parabens!

Also, I didn't know a product like this Lash Genius existed - use it as a top coat and it makes any mascara waterproof! It has excellent reviews on Sephora too. I can't wait to try it!

Blush Mystery Beauty Box Review - August 2013

Eminence Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant - 15 ml Value $5.70

Carita Paris Biological Face Mask - .5 oz Value $26.50

Coola SPF Classic Sunscreen in Cucumber - 7 mL Value $4.50

Vapour Organic Beauty Elixir Lip Gloss in Twinkle - FULL SIZE! Value $20

This Eminence exfoliant smells as wonderful as it's name. It's a super-fine formula, so I think I'll be able to use it everyday with my cleanser! (I also LOVE Vapour organic lipgloss, and buy it with my Birchbox points about every month, so I was thrilled to see my favorite lip gloss in the box this month!)

Verdict: This is probably my favorite Blush Mystery Beauty Box to date! I paid $24.95 for this box, and I received about $108 worth of full size and deluxe size beauty products. The August box had the perfect mix of makeup, skincare, and haircare products for me, and I'll use every item in the box! What did you think of the August Blush Mystery Beauty Box?

Hi, I first found out about this box from you! I am so glad that I switched over to the monthly subscription after receiving my first box (I think it was also the first box you received from Blush). I’ve loved all the boxes and I have to thank you for introducing this box to me! 🙂

I got the same one and I love the hand cream, the mask and the eyeliner! 🙂 The exfoliant is nice , too!

I just signed up for this! I found a code on RetailMeNot for $5 off either the one time purchase or the subscription, it’s code BFBL5. Always wanted to try anything by Eminence and MOR plus I have been curious about that waterproof lash coating so I figured why not.

Geez that was fast! Already received a tracking number but it says it won’t ship out til Monday (probably really Tuesday because of the holiday).

LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!

MOR is such a high-end brand. I can only find it at really fancy resorts and spas (and now, I guess Zappos – LOL) – I was EXCITED to see this awesome full-sized hand cream! Using it now!

I love the Pixi eyeliner. I got plum and I already have that shade, but as someone with green eyes, I can never get enough violet-toned eyeliner. I’m happy to have a backup (although the shade you got looks cool).

This remains my favorite beauty box out there. I get GIDDY when I come home from work and find it waiting outside my door. 🙂

I love this monthly beauty bag so much and truly regret that this was only my 2nd month (wish that I’d known about them earlier)! I was sort of bummed that I didn’t get the Carita Progressive Anti-Age lotion and the lip gloss. Instead I got the ColorScience and the perfumes. I usually have trouble with perfumes, they tend to give me really sick headaches and sadly, although I only smelled these and didn’t put them on, I still had a bad reaction of a sickening headache. Even so, I do love my Blush Mystery Beauty Box and I have a really difficult time staying patient for when it’s time for the next one!

Look on some of the makeup message boards and see if anyone wants to trade….that is what I did! The lady I traded with was also sensitive to fragrance and could not use the Skylark set while I really wanted it. Now we both have what we wanted 😉

This looks like a great box and a great subscription. I love the idea of a waterproof mascara topcoat. It’s so ingenious!

I love this box! If I sign up now, do you know if I’ll get this month’s?

Liz Cadman

Yep – when you go to the Blush website they still should be advertising for the August box!

I loved this box! Last month’s Blush box was my first ever subscription box and I liked it, but wasn’t wowed and I considered canceling my subscription. But when I opened this month’s box I was almost jumping up and down like a little kid. ^o^ I’ve used/loved everything and can highly recommend this month’s box, especially if you’re a beauty novice like me!

The only (very small) downside is that I got the set of skylark perfumes instead of the lipgloss and one of the vials arrived broken. But on the bright side, the whole box smelled like a bouquet of flowers when I opened it! ^o^

I’m really such a fan of this box! This is my third month and I am thorougly pleased, especially with the fact that they include organic and natural products and a mix of skin, hair and makeup. I traded my lipgloss for a set of Skylark perfumes that were sent out as an alternate. All three smell wonderful and are generous, travel size roller balls! I liked the lip gloss but I am a perfume fanatic 😉
