Square Hue is a monthly nail polish subscription service - every month they send you three custom designed shades just for Square Hue subscribers. They are currently offering your first month at a discount (only $14.99) so I decided to sign up! This review is of the July box which is the Salute Collection. This collection's colors are inspired by those "who have and continue to defend our freedom." A perfect theme for the 4th of July!
Square Hue arrives in a pretty small box (smaller than Birchbox) and the packaging is perfect! A better look at the shades:
The Box: Square Hue
The Cost: $21 a month (current offer is first box for only $14.99)
The Products: 3 Fresh new shades each month (all Square Hue polish is 3-Free)
Ships to: US only
Extra Info: You can pause your membership at any time, and a portion of the sales from every box go to charity. (Learn more about HueGive).
I like that all Square Hue polish is made in the USA - definitely appropriate for a polish named Patriot! I really like this bold creamy blue shade - I think it's my favorite in the box!
Before I even read the Salute Collection card with this box, I saw this shade and immediately thought of army green! I really like this shade, but it seems like more of a fall color for me - so I might save it for then. (I have way too much polish to try lately, so having a polish that can wait for fall is a good thing!)
I really like that they didn't do the traditional red, white and blue colors you might expect in a patriotic july box!
Verdict: I'm glad I signed up for Square Hue and I'm already excited for the August box - the theme is the Endless Summer Collection. I'm pleased with the formula of this nail polish (my ultimate favorite nail polish formula is still Color Club though!) What do you think of Square Hue?
