  1. Grrrrr, i knew i shouldnt have bought this. I would never spend 22$ on revlon products. No more Total Beauty for me.

  2. Considering the hype and the “$75 value” I was very disappointed with my box. Very. I definitely won’t be doing this again.

4 lackluster Revlon Colorstay polishes – a lower price line of polishes; 4 lip products which is a little much, two are “chapstick” style; other things I won’t be using. I think I have placed every item but one in my “give away” box.

For the price and hype I expect at least one thing (actually more than one thing) that makes me say “wow! cool!” out loud. Instead all I could say was “meh.”

I should have listened to the reviews of the last box, but I fell for the hype, frankly much of which was from the mysubscriptionbox description (sorry!) Hope other people got different items or liked what they got.

  3. My box arrived today and I have to say, I’m not that psyched. 4 nail polishes in colors of various usefulness (ranging from peachy to dark green), two lip butters, a couple of lip balms, the ferro blush and a day creme plus an Honest lip balm (which I subscribe to, so know those are nice.) I must have been thinking this would have more variety, which it does not, but I’ll know better than to order this box next time around! It seems super thrown-together.

  4. Well, my box came today and my teen daughter and I were thrilled! Maybe because I just don’t shop for beauty products enough to have much variety on hand so anything new is fun. Or maybe it’s because I live in the sticks so I’m not particular about brand. Or maybe (probably) it is because every single color was one that I would use. I’m happy I ordered! Thanks again for the link!

To the other Daisy- Hi and unreal that there are two of us! 🙂

  5. Ugh, got mine in the mail today, what a disappointment. A bunch of Revlon nail polish and eyeshadow. First and last one of these…BTW I subscribe to seven diffent boxes, this is the first one that was ugghh!!! Even my boyfriend was like “That one sucks”….and I even got the good vibrations version.

    • My husband’s comments were something involving buying out the reduced bin at Rite Aid. Horrible colors must’ve been the mystery theme. By far the worst box I have ever received. I quickly let them know via email my review!

    • fml now im not excited for mine anymore 🙁 that sucksssss! ugh.

  6. Sure, ill try anything once! 😉 and I feel like the crappy response the the last box gives us a great chance of getting wowed this time!! 😀

  7. Okay, I am super freaked out right now because:

    1. There’s another Daisy??!! WHAT?!! HI!!
    2. I also apparently live in the sticks and have just discovered subscription boxes and now am a new subscriber to 3 boxes (and just ordered the Total Beauty mystery box).
    3. I, too, cannot wait 😉

  8. just ordered mine! eek! so excited! thank you so, so much for the discount code. xx

  9. Eh, I’m gun shy after the last Mystery Box disappointment. I’m going to pass and then I’m sure it’ll be awesome and I’ll regret it. Because that’s the kind of Eeyore life I live. 😀

As for the Good Vibrations Collection – haha – are vibrators illegal in the states listed?

    • They probably feel like they have something to prove now that so many people were upset with them with the last Mystery Box…so, I won’t be surprised if they had an awesome box. I’m still not giving into them, though…unless, they gave me so sort of credit for their last box. I know they did refund some people for the last mystery box and I didn’t get anything.

  10. As much as I love a great deal…I’m going to pass. Their last Mystery Box left a bad taste in my mouth…although, I did like some things in the box…I was disappointed overall. And what really upset me was that I emailed them about that ridiculous Naked Wines gift card and expressed how upset I was that they included that card as part of the box value and they never emailed me back. So, whatever…for $22 I can go to Target and go pick out some beauty products that I will actually use.

  11. These ladies are not kidding when they say disaster on the wallet! I just HAD to purchase this beauty bag. Not that I am complaining…

  12. I was not huge a fan of the last Mystery Box – the only thing I have even used so far is the tinted lip balm. Oh and I tried one of the e-boost packets. SO gross!

  13. I’ll be passing on this one, I already know I won’t use any of the three gifts and the previous collection statement, for some reason, makes me think they will have the products in the last mystery boxes in this one as well. Its great they aren’t including that stupid wine gift card this time around. I still remember thst sinking feeling I got when I saw it my box, I felt kinda ripped off.

  14. After my last mystery box from Total Beauty i decided to pass on the mystery boxes. & yes this website is breaking my bank, definitely a addiction

btw where is Little Black Bag reviews 🙁

  15. I just ordered this box using your coupon code. I am excited, this is my first one from totalbeauty, I love make up and cosmetics, I got the Ipsy bag and the FabFitFun box. Let’s see how is this one.

  16. I am confused about these boxes… They say no duplicates at the bottom, but in the description it says

“What’s in this Total Beauty Collection:
Just think of it as our best kept beauty secret!
7+ full size items and deluxe samples from previous collections
PLUS: 3 Free Bonus Items including NYX Roll On Shimmer (Full Size), NYX Color Balm (Full Size) and Ferro X3 Blush (Deluxe Sample)”

So what does “deluxe samples from previous collections” mean?
Also, all the 3 bonus items were in the last box.

The bonus beauty items listed for both boxes are the same.

As for the “Good Vibrations” box, that vibrator on trojan’s own page has been reduced to $40, so I’m guessing you are basically buying that plus some foil packets (and maybe lube!), plus the 3 bonus beauty items.

I’m going to pass on these ones.

  17. Oh, I am so torn. I loved the last box (minus that stupid wine card)…I’m just trying to imagine what could be in here this time. Since it says no duplicates from past boxes as the main items, we know we are safe from those drink packets (unless they are a bonus item – which, let’s be honest, we know there will be at least one packet of that in everyone’s box). The only other thing I really see from their recent collections that hasn’t been in the mystery boxes is the Nelson J hair products, which look like something I’d want to try out. Can you guys think of anything else they may include? Now it’s like a game to me! haha

    • All the Revlon products – eye shadow quad, lip butters and nail polish.

  18. I doubt that the vibrator is actually valued at $80. Only thing I could find was for $36 on Amazon. It wasn’t even reduced price. Either way that’s essentially the cost of the box with the coupon.

Will both boxes contain the same beauty products?

  19. I’m with Daisy, disastrous for my wallet! This will be the third box that I bought based on your reviews. Loved them all so far. Can’t wait for this one too! Thanks!

  20. I did this Mystery Box last time with them and it wasn’t just the Total Wine gift card that was the problem. The Ferro powder was everywhere and there were 8+ eBoost packets – ugh. It wasn’t worth it. I will not order.

  21. Oh my…your blog has been disastrous for my budget! I apparently live in the sticks and had never heard of subscription boxes until I stumbled upon your blog! I am now a brand new subscriber to 3 boxes and just ordered the Total Beauty mystery box. I can’t wait for the fun to show up in my mailbox!
