Birchbox CEW Box Review - Prestige Limited Edition Box

Birchbox made my day when they sent me both CEW Limited Edition boxes to review today. I loved the Mass Appeal Box, but if I had to pick a favorite it would definitely be this box. I think I'll probably use my Birchbox points to snag another one of these boxes - the value and products are amazing!

Like the regular boxes, these limited edition CEW boxes come with a card detailing each product.

Living Proof Prime Style Extender - 1 oz Value $6

LA Fresh Oil-Free Face Cleanser (2 towelettes) - Value $1

I love the LA Fresh eco-beauty line and can never have enough of these towelettes! I'm also really excited to try this hair primer. It's phthalate, sulfate and paraben free, and from reading the reviews it sounds like it's best for wavy/curly hair - use it before you straighten/style your hair and it keeps it in check. The scent is great too - it reminds me of an Acqua Di Parma fragrance I sampled and loved.

Julep Nail Polish in Martha - Value $14

Julep Essential Cuticle Oil - Value $18

Normally I'd be very excited about two full-size, high-value products like these, but I already have this polish and cuticle oil (both are great) - so I'll be gifting these to a friend!

IT Cosmetics Universal Brow Pencil - Travel Size value $16 approx.

I couldn't find the travel size version of this pencil for sale, but the value of the full size is $24. This little tool is super convenient and I love that you can adjust the darkness of the shade by pressing harder.

Elizabeth Arden Prevage  - 5 mL Value $8

Verdict: This box has a value of over $60, and I'm really excited about trying the Prevage and Living Proof hair primer. Plus the LA Fresh and eyebrow power pencil will go to use immediately! What do you think of the Prestige CEW Birchbox? Did you buy this box and/or the Mass Appeal box?

I bought both boxes and was excited by the super fast delivery, but not at all happy with the red Jackie Julep I received. I just love Martha and I’m new enough to think that all boxes would have the same colors. Same issue with the Mass Appeal box.

I just ordered the Mass Appeal box but I don’t know about this one. I have more Julep polishes/products than I can shake a leg at and I’ve tried that Prime Style Extender before but I had trouble washing it out of my hair.

So my question is-can you get $1 in Birchbox points for reviewing each item? How did it work in the past?

I don’t know what to think about recursive boxes (e.g., the items from one branded subscription box within another). It’s kinda weirding me out!
