Hungry Globetrotter Monthly World Dinner Club Subscription Review

The Hungry Globetrotter World Dinner Club is a subscription box service that sends you a box of ingredients and food products from a certain region, along with recipes to make some delicious signature dishes from that month's destination. (Check out all my Hungry Globetrotter Reviews to find out about previous destinations).  I love this subscription service because the recipes are easy but the dishes are unique and a fun way to spice up a normally uneventful weeknight cooking plan. They sent me the May box to review and i was thrilled when I opened up the box and read this month's destination: Hawaiian Getaway Dinner!

Ka'iulani's Famous Exotic Curry Rub  & Seasoning - Value $6.75

Ka'iulani's Famous Kona Coffee Rub & Seasoning - Value $6.75

I love that both of these seasonings are organic. I'm definitely going to use the Kona Coffee rub on burgers in addition to the recipe suggestions!

Li-Hing Mui Caramel Popcorn - $8

Aloha Gold Soy Sauce - Value $6

I didn't know this - but apparently Hawaiian soy sauce is less salty than traditional soy sauce. This is included for marinating the meat for the Hawaiian Grill dinner, and can be used as a dipping sauce as well.

Verdict: I am so excited about this box! I actually just went out to buy all the ingredents to make this Hawaiian Getaway Dinner tonight! What do you think of the May Hungry Globetrotter box?

I need to look into that Hawaiian soy sauce than! I love soy sauce but almost never use it anymore because of all the sodium. Even the low sodium soy sauce has too much for me!

I actually just canceled my Hungry Globetrotter after 4 months. This box is not bad as far as the food, not very exciting either, but it is net worth 26$ and it cost 35$. Last month wasn’t good with items such as “ground oregano” and “ground cumin”. Only 2 items are actually exotic and difficult to get. The idea and the concept is great but I don’t think they deliver enough when 50% of the box is easy to get anywhere.

My boyfriend would probably really love this subscription. He is definitely the chef in our relationship. I will probably have to sign us up. 🙂
