Here is a little more information on the Women’s Bean Project:
Since 1989 we have been helping women break the cycle of poverty and unemployment. We are a nonprofit organization that teaches job readiness and life skills for entry-level jobs through employment in our gourmet food production and handmade jewelry manufacturing businesses. Women come with the goal of transforming their lives and moving toward self sufficiency.
Alaffia Cocoa & Shea Butter Lip Balm – Value $3
I love that they include a few body care items in each box. These both smell amazing – and I’m happy to have discovered the Alaffia brand!
Women’s Bean Project Jelly Beans – Value $3,50
Divine Milk Chocolate – Value $4
I wish I could eat dairy – this chocolate bar gets nothing but 5-star reviews on Amazon! (I’m sure my boyfriend will love it!)
Verdict: I thought it was appropriate to post this review on Earth Day since it supports the ethical production of food and fair trade practices. If you are looking to discover healthy, and organic new products and you want to support fair trade – this is your box! It’s a little pricey compared to other boxes, but there are 12-15 full-sized products in each box, and it’s a quarterly subscription – not a monthly cost. What do you think of Trade As One? I’m officially a fan!
