Here is a little more information on the Women's Bean Project:

Since 1989 we have been helping women break the cycle of poverty and unemployment. We are a nonprofit organization that teaches job readiness and life skills for entry-level jobs through employment in our gourmet food production and handmade jewelry manufacturing businesses. Women come with the goal of transforming their lives and moving toward self sufficiency.

Alaffia Shea Butter Dead Sea Spa Soap in Rosemary Eucalyptus - Value $3

Alaffia Cocoa & Shea Butter Lip Balm - Value $3

I love that they include a few body care items in each box. These both smell amazing - and I'm happy to have discovered the Alaffia brand!

Women's Bean Project Jelly Beans - Value $3,50

Divine Milk Chocolate - Value $4

I wish I could eat dairy - this chocolate bar gets nothing but 5-star reviews on Amazon! (I'm sure my boyfriend will love it!)

Verdict: I thought it was appropriate to post this review on Earth Day since it supports the ethical production of food and fair trade practices. If you are looking to discover healthy, and organic new products and you want to support fair trade - this is your box! It's a little pricey compared to other boxes, but there are 12-15 full-sized products in each box, and it's a quarterly subscription - not a monthly cost. What do you think of Trade As One? I'm officially a fan!

Evita and Amber,

The cost includes shipping and tax, so it’s not as if they are deliberately ripping people off. Still, the items are high-quality with a corresponding price tag.

I agree with Evita…I was doing the math on this for a while and it doesn’t add up. I really like the box, and would have purchased if it met the pricing expectations, but not when it is less.

How is this box worth 99$ or more? All those products add up to about 75$ or so. The products all look great but I not very impressed with the value of this box, even with the coupon.

The entire point of Trade As One is not so that you can buy products at a good price, it is there so that we can help organizations and poor farmers and there families make a sustainable living and DO GOOD IN THE WORLD! This is a gift to others, not a gift to ourselves.

Thank you Chris!

Hi, the $99 if for 3 months! Since the box above was worth $75, that’s a great bargain (monthly cost = $33).
