Target Launches First Beauty Box - $5 For 5 Premium Samples

It looks like Target is thinking about getting into the beauty subscription box business! This first box is just a test (20,000 boxes available  at a one time charge of $5) to see if there is interest in a subscription. For $5 a box I'm thinking there will definitely be interest and these boxes will sell out quickly!

The Box: Beauty Box by Target

The Cost: $5 (free shipping)

The Products: 5 Premium beauty samples

FYI - I discovered some spoilers from the survey included on the order confirmation email. It looks like this box will include:

  • La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo
  • Fekkai Glossing Cream
  • Gillette Venus and Olay Razor Pack
  • L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier B.B. Cream
  • Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips

I just ordered my Target box just a note I was able to choose the skip option when Target asked to post on my behalf through Facebook. I can’t wait hope I am able to remain on their list if they go forward 🙂

Am I the only one bummed that you need a Facebook account to order this? I wish there were another option. Thanks so much for keeping us updated on all the good stuff!

Thanks just ordered! Weird, didn’t have to fill out a survey, just said I was one of the lucky people to try it.

Thank you so very, very much for posting about this! I was just thinking this morning about the Target Beauty Bags and wishing they were still around! FREAKY coincidence! I ordered one! I’m weak against those red circles. Darn you, Target! 😉

On their fb (in their response to a commenter), they mentioned there will be a special offer inside … I’m curious now.

@michele – I also ordered mine through Facebook. It felt weird putting my credit card information on a Facebook screen though. But, I figure if anything funny happens with the credit card (not Visa bank debit card), I’m protected against any fraud. 🙂

I was going to order until Facebook made me turn on an app platform and then informed me that Target would have access to my Facebook including my friends and all that stuff. I am not subjecting them to that. Hopefully Target will go into the monthly sub business outside of Facebook.

I’m with @heather, it’s a no brainer for $5.00 🙂

It will be interesting to see who else/what other company decides to venture into the subscription box area. I’m waiting for more (affordable) goop curated things or goop’s own box someday…

Omg a goop box is such a good idea! Fingers crossed! 🙂

I ordered one too and I don’t usually go for beauty boxes. This one has a few things I’ve been wanting to try. Can’t use the Target card on it though!

I’m assuming you don’t have the Target Visa? Because I was able to use my Target Visa card on it. Although it didn’t give me 5% off in rewards – I assume because the purchase was through a vendor rather than directly through Target.

Thanks for posting this! At $5 this was a no brainer. Can’t wait until it gets here!

Just ordered mine too. Hope they keep the 20,000 people that order on the list should they decide to go monthly. Thanks for the tip Liz!!

Just ordered mine and that was before I saw the spoilers! $5 was too good to pass up; but now I’m even more excited to see that’s it actually going to be worth it! Sad I have to wait 4-6 weeks though.

I am having trouble ordering. Did you go to the link on facebook and click Buy?

Liz Cadman

Yes – I had to order through Facebook

Hope that helps!
