I am a huge MR fan but i was very disappointed in this box 🙁 i had such high hopes for Leandra’s co-lab. I tried the hair primer -eh, didn’t do what it said it would (i have very oily roots so usually these things don’t), the VL lipstick was a bad color red :(, $225 face cream? no thanks, the other face cream made me break out, the nail polish was a big N O – as a woman in my mid-30’s and NOT in fashion i can’t wear a color like that…perfume? no thank you (now i know what she smells like though!) i did like the mascara and am wearing it as we speak but that doesn’t save this box from being a bad one! its my 1st disappointment from GB but it is STILL better then Beautybox5, Birch Box and ipsy IMHO.

I got the one with the cream blush, which is fantastic. I got mine in Feb too (although they did email to apologize). I love GB.

I got almost the same box as you except instead of Tarte lipstick I got a cream blush (which I would be more likely to wear since I’m picky about lip products). I thought the box was a pretty good value and my last one in my 3 month subscription. I just wish the nail polish were a different color than purple. I love the idea of it (and it’s full size!) but I don’t ever wear purple nail polish 🙁

My Jan. box didn’t arrive until Feb. This was the last straw for me with GB.
I’ve stuck with them through thick and thin, but the Jan. ” Man Repeller” box also repelled ME, and I am definitely not a male.

I got the box with ONLY teeny samples. One full sized nail polish and some garish red lipstick from– who else?– Vincent Longo. I still remember the maroon and white pencil that Beauty Bar Sample Society sent a few months ago. Apparently, the girl who is the ” Man Repeller” likes garish colors and stinky perfume.

I hated everything in my box and threw the entire thing away.
AND then I cancelled my Glossybox subscription for all time.
And I feel very good about the decision!!!

I got the other version of this box with the Vincent Longo lipstick and the hair primer from Living Proof. The lipstick I got is more like a tinted lipbalm, but it’s a beautiful color and very wearable. I LOVE the perfume so much! I would actually buy the full size of it. But I did not like the nailpolish, I wore it for less than a week and it faded over that time, and it’s very juvenile, I can’t seriously wear it in adult company (and I’m under 30!). I don’t get all that excited about incredibly expensive lotion samples because there is no way I will buy the full size. Overall though, I really loved this Glossybox for the perfume, lipstick, and hair primer.

I LOVE the nail polish. I have it on right now. It’s super purple… I think if looks more blue in the bottle. I definitely did not get that same lipstick. I think I got a Vincent Longo lip stain in Belle Etoile. (GREAT color.) I’m not 100% sure that’s the lipstick I got because I toss all my subscription makeup into one bag – but I’m pretty certain that’s what I got. But definitely no lipstick from Tarte.

Girls, van anyone explain what does exactly “man repeller” mean? I am French, sorry 🙂

Man Repeller is a popular fashion blogger: http://www.manrepeller.com/ From what I understand, she chose the products to be featured in her Glossy Box.

This box was “curated” by the creator of the blog Man Repeller, http://www.manrepeller.com, and named after the blog for the month.

Bonjour! Man Repeller literally means one who repels men. The phrase is a play on words. It means that by using the contents of the box, you are become so beautiful and desirable, that you must resort to repelling men that find you so resistable, they chase you.

Ira, it means wearing fashion that men don’t find attractive, but other fashionable people think is great

I wasn’t as impressed with this one as everyone else was. I like red lipstick, but the one I got was an orangey-red, which I will never wear. I also didn’t like the texture of the polish, which I know is supposed to be the innovative selling point for it. One of the things I hate about glitter polish is the grittiness, so I definitely don’t want a polish that is made just for it’s grittiness. I’m also not a fan of foil pack samples, not matter the value of it, because I don’t think one or two uses really gives you a good idea of whether or not it will work for you long-term.

I am excited about trying the mascara and hair product.

(I cancelled GlossyBox after a customer service fiasco with them this month. This box, which I received after I’d already cancelled, didn’t make me regret the cancellation.)
