Gourmet Spotting – January 2013 Review – Monthly Food Subscription Boxes PLUS GIVEAWAY!
The Box: Gourmet Spotting
The Cost: $29.99 a month plus shipping (includes a meal donated to charity!)
The Products: Gourmet food scouted from all over the world!
I love that they include information on every item in the box – it’s great learning about where the products come from and how to use them!
Tamarind Fusion Granola Lab Granola – Value $9
Matriz Valenciano Paella Rice from Spain – Value $15
I’m so excited to make Paella! Gourmet spotting included a recipe for Paella with our seafood (it’s like they knew I don’t like seafood!)
Pu’er Tea from Yunnan, China – Value ?
Superior Saffron from Spain – Value $20
I thought I had seen every tea there was thanks to subscription boxes – but I was wrong! Pu’er is a variety of post-fermented tea where the tea leaves undergo a microbial fermentation process after they are dried and rolled.
Also, I’m so glad they included Saffron – it’s necessary for the paella and super pricey!
Giuliano Tartufi Sea Salt with Black Truffle – Value $21
Verdict: I think Gourmet Spotting has a great value, and I love that I get to learn about new foods! Now – time to win a box for yourself:
