First Impressions

Everything arrived packed neatly in the pink BoxyCharm by Ipsy box.

Now, on to the items!

Rodial XXL Mascara Waterproof in Black – Retail Value $32

I love a good mascara, especially when it doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. This one has worked well for me! The wand is really great and, while it looks pretty standard, it actually has flexible bristles that work to coat both long and short lashes. I was actually surprised that I did see a difference on how this wand worked on my bottom lashes compared to other mascaras I've tried. The jet black gel also works to coat and curl your lashes.

Normally I'll have issues with some waterproof mascaras clumping, but I am happy to report that this one does not. All in all, a really great mascara that I can use every day!

feel Squalane Facial Oil, 30 mL - Retail Value $36

This blend is made with rosehip, avocado, grapeseed, French plum seed, and Squalane oils. According to the feel website, "clinical studies show a 5% concentration of Squalane oil gives a 51% reduction of wrinkles over 28 days." Those are some pretty major results! I can't speak to wrinkle reduction just yet, but so far I am really enjoying this oil. It is very thick so a little goes a long way, and they recommend using this only once a day (am or pm will work).

The oil can provide a deep long-lasting hydration while brightening and reversing hyperpigmentation and blemish marks. My skin is very dry so I love most oils that I try, but this one makes my skin feel really amazing. I love that I can use this during my night routine and have noticed major improvements in my overall hydration, something that I really struggle with this time of year. I love that you don't have to use a ton of this to feel the benefits, which means I should have this bottle for a long time!

REALHER Probiotic Setting Spray, 100 mL – Retail Value $35

I put this on the moment I got it out of the box, walked upstairs, and my Mom immediately said, "oh wow you are glowing, what did you just use?!" So that says it all, the spa owner and makeup artist approved it without even knowing what I used! This isn't just a setting spray, it also has probiotics to support your skin's natural barrier and create a smooth canvas. This spray also works to lock-in your makeup even through sweat, tears, and everything in between. I have been using this in the morning and even for a little mid-day pick me up if I feel like my face needs a little refresh.

GLOW RECIPE Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Sunscreen SPF 50, 50 mL – Retail Value $35

I have had three pre-cancerous moles removed in the last few years so sunscreen is a huge must for me. It really should be something you wear on your face, neck, and chest year round. I'm always happy to add a new sunscreen to my collection, and I love that this is a thinner container, so it fits right into my travel bag if I want to bring it with me this summer or in my pool bag.

This sunscreen is gentle on your skin and is made with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and aloe to improve the overall look of your skin over time, while still protecting it from the sun. It also hydrates and leaves my skin feeling refreshed with a little glow to it. A little goes a long way, but don't forget to reapply!

HALF CAKED Double Feature Lip Duo – Retail Value $20

This lip duo is so cute but these colors are just not for me. I knew once I opened the box that they weren't my style, but that they were perfect to pass along to my daughter. As you can see in the photos, Philomena (5) is obsessed with all things pink and was in love with this duo set. Both shades are a high-shine gloss with loads of sparkles in it. Plus, they are infused with vitamin E so they leave your lips feeling hydrated all day. While this lipgloss duo was a miss for me, it makes me so happy to be able to share things like this with my daughter. She has them sitting out on her bathroom sink so she can apply it every day!

Verdict

This BoxyCharm by Ipsy was filled with essentials that I'm reaching for every day! The mascara goes on like a dream, leaving me clump free and curled. The sunscreen works to hydrate and leave my skin glowing while protecting my skin from the sun year round, something that is really important to me. Honestly, I cannot say enough about the setting spray, it literally gives me a dewy glow all day. The facial oil feels great on my skin and is hopefully reducing fine lines and wrinkles quickly. While I didn't love the lipgloss duo, my daughter is obsessed with it!
