BoxyCharm Beauty Boost by Ipsy is a $43 monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. This is an upgrade to your BoxyCharm membership. In addition to 5 other products, you will get a premium full-sized product that will be worth at least $40 on its own. If you are a makeup or skincare addict – we recommend this box!

FYI: Subscription update!

Glam Bag Plus and BoxyCharm Base will now be called BoxyCharm. It’s the same great membership and price — now all under the new BoxyCharm name and extra perks. BoxyCharm members (all previous Glam Bag Plus and BoxyCharm Base subscribers) will still get 5 full-size beauty products worth up to $200 personalized for them, and now they’ll get to choose 3 of their items! Plus, they’re guaranteed 2 Power Picks —superstar products or brands handpicked by our team of experts— in their 5-product assortment. By removing the drawstring Glam Bag Plus, we can invest in better beauty products.

First Impressions

Everything arrived packed neatly in the pink BoxyCharm by Ipsy box.

Now, on to the items!

TRUST FUND BEAUTY THAT GLOW THO Highlighters – Retail Value $20

I'm loving this highlighter! Sometimes highlighters tend to not really show up in my photos, but this one has me glowing! This vegan highlighter is super creamy, it goes on smooth, and blends nicely. They describe this as a highlighter that gives you a 'lit-from-within-glow' and I could not agree more. I felt like a glowing goddess in this, and I already know this is going to be used a lot in the summer when I have more of a tan, and when I use more of my orange/light brown/gold shadows.

LYS Beauty Lash Confidence Mascara, 0.25 oz. - Retail Value $19

I'm always a little nervous trying new mascara, just because my eyes can be really sensitive. I am happy to say that I have had zero irritation with this brand! I'm also pretty obsessed with how it is making my lashes look. This is a triple-action mascara that focuses on volumizing, lengthening, and curling your lashes. The wand works really well to curl my lashes and they look way longer than usual (you can't really tell in the photo but they do look fab in person). No clumps or flaking, another huge bonus! This mascara is my new every day product!

ACEOLOGY Here We Glow Berry Mask, 65 mL – Retail Value $69

I enjoyed this mask and my skin felt nice after, but it wasn't anything that really wowed me. Which is why I was so surprised to see the price of it! To be fair, I've only used it once so I can't speak to long-term results, but my skin is extremely dry right now and I can't say that I noticed or felt a big different in my skin the morning after using this.

This mask is made with 5 berry extracts and 14 fruit extracts to protect your skin against free radical skin damage, brighten, clarify, and smooth. Another star ingredient, Kaolin, is a white clay that lifts impurities, and allantoin to calm and smooth. You can use this mask twice a week by applying a thick layer (after cleansing) for 20-30 minutes.

OFRA Cosmetics Signature Palette Luxe – Retail Value $32

I was really nervous when I opened this palette because there was already some fallout on the case from the shadows. So I right away thought this wasn't going to go on well and that there would be a lot of fallout. I am happy to say that this is a pretty solid palette! Mochas and shimmery bronzes and golds are what I basically wear every day (these shades paired with that glowing highlighter was perfection). The shadows went on easily and are buildable without having to work too hard to get solid coverage. I had some fallout which you can see on the edges of my one eye, which I don't love, but I think I just needed to use a different brush. I have found myself reaching for this palette more often since I got it because it has easy shades that I can use daily!

Dermalactives Microcurrent Facial Toning Device – Retail Value $179.99

So excited to see a device like this instead of product! This is a showstopper and really upped the value this month. I have used this every day since I got it and am totally in love. I've been using this at night before bed or in the am to wake my skin up, and no matter when I use it, I really see and feel the difference in my skin. Plus it is totally relaxing!

This device is described as a "pain-free facelift." It delivers soft, gentle waves through the skin and into the muscles to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. You can choose from 3 modes (cleanse, deeply moisturize, or firm) and you can pick your power level. They recommend using this for at least 4 minutes. My skin is feeling tighter and brighter since I started using this so I can't wait to see the long-term improvements in my skin.

Verdict

This BoxyCharm Beauty Boost by Ipsy was the best curation I have seen in a while! The toning device is obviously the star of the month and boy am I loving it! I have been using this device every day and can't wait to see long-term results. Another product that I'm reaching for every day is the mascara. I'm so happy that it didn't irritate my eyes and it's making my lashes look great. The highlighter and palette pair perfectly together, another reason why I'm loving the overall curation this month. While I'm not obsessed with the mask, I'm going to continue using it to see if it improves my skin overtime.

We started the New Year off with a bang and some amazing value! I can't wait to see what February has in store!

You are definitely missing an item! Just made sure I double checked and I agree with the other comments. Hoping they send you another product! 😊

You’re missing a product. You should have received 5 products in addition to the dermalectives device.

I agree, if this is truly a beauty boost sub- which is the old Boxy
Premium. Always 6 products.

I thought that too! But then I looked back at my account and it doesn’t look like I am. I was wondering if they didn’t do the 6th because the device is so expensive and normally that 6th item isn’t that high of a price point? Did you get 6?

I’d contact them. The boost is always an additional product from the 5. I received 6 products, the normal 5 plus the same dermalectives device. So you are definitely missing a product.
