First Impressions

This subscription comes packaged in a blue and white box, and when you open it you find the items thoughtfully tucked inside of sizzle and tissue paper and sealed with a sticker. You can really tell Bath Bevy pays attention to detail by how they pack their box. There is also an info sheet detailing the products included.

Bath Bevy "Autumn is Here” Tubless September 2023 Review

Vanilla Soy Tealights, 4 ct - Retail Value $8

My bathtub has an uneven slope that pools water to one side, so I don’t have as much space as I would like to to light candles while I bathe. These soy wax tealights smell like vanilla, so they would be complimentary to a lot of different bath scents. The wax has some decorative dried patchouli leaves as well, which I think makes these look nice.

Autumn Delight Body Lotion - Retail Value $12

This body lotion is formulated with aloe and sunflower seed oil for a texture that’s hydrating without being too heavy, and I love the smell. I’m not sure of the exact scent notes, but I definitely pick up on cinnamon and clove, maybe a hint of vanilla. My fiancé said it smells like the “holidays” and that it smelled “delicious,” so I know which lotion I’ll be using for the next few weeks!

Two Wild Hares Harvest Handmade Soap Bar - Retail Value $10

This bar soap has a delicious fall apple scent, and I am a big fan. I’ve never gone apple picking, but this scent makes me want to experience that fun activity! It’s made with olive oil and coconut oil too so while it gets you clean, it doesn’t dry out your skin.

Hygge Happy Body Wash - Retail Value $12

Hygge is described as the coziness and comfort that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being in Danish culture. It’s easy to embrace the hygge lifestyle with this body wash that has scent notes of ripe pear, toasted maplewood, vanilla bean, and amber. I’m already a homebody, but scents like these make me happy to stay inside and create a cozy, delicious-smelling sanctuary. It works well as a body wash, too- it doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or tight and it smelled great.

White Pumpkin Whipped Soap Scrub - Retail Value $15

You can count on recovering a whipped soap scrub in almost every Bath Bevy tubless box. If you've never tried a whipped soap scrub, you're missing out- I find it makes sudsing up a lot more fun than holding a bar of soap because of the whipped texture, and while there is a mix of sugar in the formula, the "scrubby" part of the experience is gentle and not too abrasive. The pumpkin scent of this soap scrub is quite nice - it has notes of pumpkin without being an overpowering pumpkin spice scent that some seasonal products bear.

Easy Breathe-y Eucalyptus Shower Steamers, 2 ct - Retail Value $12

These are probably my favorite shower steamers from Bath Bevy. I love the smell of eucalyptus and these steamers capture the refreshing, zingy scent perfectly. They make my entire shower smell so nice and really do help to open up my sinuses if my nose is clogged, too. If I got a subscription box that just contained 10 of these I honestly wouldn’t be mad, if we’re being honest with each other.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.

Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy or another small artist. All of the prices for everything except the bar of soap adds up to $69, which is more than the cost of the box plus shipping.

Key Takeaways

Even though I love baths and bath bombs, I quite enjoy the Tubless Bath Bevy subscription- even more so in my new bathroom! This month's box did a great job of encompassing the warm, cozy, gourmand scents that make autumn so lovely. My favorite would be the eucalyptus shower steamers because of who I am as a person, but the body lotion was a close second. One thing I like about this box is you can always expect cohesive products that will provide a lovely sensorial experience, whether you use them separately or in a longer pampering session. If you love using artisan bath products but taking baths isn't your thing, I recommend checking out this Bath Bevy Tubless subscription.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

Kristin

In their defense this is a shower sub so you wouldn’t be able to use the candles in the shower. I find it odd to include in a shower sub but I guess they expect you to just burn them in the bathroom? Do they normally include candles?

Hi Kristen! I would say candles (whether tea candles or a slightly larger single candle) appear about 50% of the time. It’s not every box, but it’s also not a rare thing. I agree that I think they’re meant for use in the general bathroom to set the ambiance- a previous box also came with a tea light holder 🙂
