Bath Bevy "Autumn is Here” September 2023 Review

Hygge Happy Bubble Bath - Retail Value $12

Hygge is described as the coziness and comfort that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being in Danish culture. That is exactly what I try to embody as we head into the fall and winter months- I love being a homebody and making my place as cozy as I can. This bubble bath is perfect for relaxing after a long day, and I love that I can reliably get 8-9 baths out of one bottle of Bath Bevy bubble bath.

White Pumpkin Whipped Soap Scrub - Retail Value $15

You can count on recovering a whipped soap scrub in almost every Bath Bevy Box. If you've never tried a whipped soap scrub, you're missing out. I find it makes sudsing up a lot more fun than holding a bar of soap because of the whipped texture, and while there is a mix of sugar in the formula, the "scrubby" part of the experience is gentle and not too abrasive. The pumpkin scent of this soap scrub is quite nice - it has notes of pumpkin without being an overpowering pumpkin spice scent that some seasonal products bear.

Pistachio Pumpkin Body Lotion - Retail Value $12

Pistachio scents are a big love of mine, so I am always down to receive more. This body lotion is formulated with aloe and sunflower seed oil for a texture that’s hydrating without being too heavy, and I love the rich gourmand scent of this lotion. It leans a little more pumpkin than pistachio for me, but it’s still quite lovely.

Caramel Apple Bath Bomb - Retail Value $8

I tried a recipe this past weekend involving caramel, apples, and puff pastry. I don’t work with caramel often, and I don’t know if I have ever been as frustrated in the kitchen as I was trying to make those darned treats. This caramel apple bath bomb takes that delicious smell, only with zero stress about burning sugar or incorporating butter.

Here’s what it looked like in my tub!

Oatmeal, Milk, & Honey Bath Bomb - Estimated Value $8

This is a more simple bath bomb scented with sweet honey, oats, and a touch of milk. It didn't create any colorful bath art for me other than turning the water a tad bit milky white, but I enjoyed the simplicity and classic scent.

Two Wild Hares Harvest Bubble Salt - Retail Value $10

My paper pouch arrived with a small tear in it, but that just meant this would be the bath product I used up first. It smelled amazing- like delicious fresh fall apples, and the scent lasted even when the last of my bath water had drained away. It’s made with three types of salt, and I love that this works like a combined bubble bath/bath bomb/bath salt- so fun.

Here is what it looked like in action.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.

Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy or another small business. Bath Bevy will typically sell these products individually on the website, and everything this month added up to $65.

Key Takeaways

I thought this month's Bath Bevy box was another great box. I love the richness of autumnal scents, and I thought this box did a good job of capturing them beautifully. Anyone who enjoys taking baths (especially baths with fun, creative scents) would have enjoyed this month's b0x. This is definitely the subscription for someone looking to add a little extra luxury to their monthly bath routine with the added bonus of being surprised by the products curated around a fun theme. If you don't take baths, don't let that deter you from subscribing- Bath Bevy also offers a "tubless" subscription. If you're a fan of artisan bath products this is a subscription box worth checking out- in this new year you deserve a little extra self care.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
