First Impressions

Goddess Provisions does a beautiful job with packaging.

The box comes with a short but informative booklet that outlines all of the items inside and discloses the theme. This month's theme is "Solar Energy".

What's Inside This Box

Tarot Sun Pendant Necklace - Retail Value $28.00

Even though this is not my normal style, I can't stop wearing this pendant necklace. It is so shiny and emits such a sunny, summer vibe; I can't resist how the light hits the gold metal sun or the message "Radiate Your Light" on the back. This necklace is made of 14k gold plated stainless steel; the medium-length chain has a nice sparkle to it.

I think the length of this chain is perfect. It falls at a great length to layer other necklaces. I love the mixed metal look; what do you think?

Earth Harbor Sunstone Hair Revive Elixir - Listed Value $30.00

I reviewed this hair oil a few months back, thanks to March's Kinder Beauty Box; here is what I had to say about it then:

Earth Harbor has such an awesome array of products! I was stoked to see a hair elixir from them since I am typically only obsessing over their vegan skincare. I've been searching for a hair and scalp oil to use before shampooing (once I realized there was such a product), and I think my haircare approach has completely changed overnight. I have fine hair but a lot of it. Oils tend to weigh my hair down, but my strands need that extra lovin' that oils and other hydrating products offer. I used several drops and applied them directly to my scalp, and used about six more drops to cover my length. I lounged in my bathtub for over an hour reading, and then I washed my hair, using the double shampoo method. My hair looked and felt great the next day, nourished without being weighed down. Sunstone is full of healthy, hair-loving ingredients like seaweed, coconut, jojoba oil, carrot seed, and Calendula flowers. It has a very subtle, warm fragrance that didn't seem to stick around after application.

Apothékary Co. Blue Me Away - Listed Value $20.00

Apothekary is a 'new to me' brand; their packaging drew me in immediately, and their philosophy of only using natural, non-synthetic ingredients only increased my fascination. 'Blue Me Away' is a blend of superfoods that may boost cognitive functioning and improve clarity.

The powder is blue from the organic pure blue matcha, and it also contains chlorella, ginseng root, pea protein and organic coconut. The taste is subtle; I was able to drink this blend without any mix-ins, but I would definitely prefer it inside a smoothie or other protein drink.

Atma Botanica Sun Shower Steamer - Retail Value $3.99

As soon as I opened this month's box, I could smell this shower steamer. It is such a lovely blend of citrus and Ylang Ylang... it is exactly what I think sunshine should smell like, so it goes along seamlessly with this month's box theme. Shower steamers can take you from an everyday shower straight to a spa-like experience. Unwrap your steamer and place it in a far corner of your shower so it is exposed to water, but not in a direct stream of water. It is a calming, aromatherapy treatment that I don't partake in often but always enjoy.

Golden Ray Spoon - Retail Value $16.00

Am I the only one here that loves a good spoon? I'm not sure if it is because I am an avid tea enthusiast, but boy, do I love a fun and fancy spoon. The scoop reads "shine bright," and the end of the handle is a dazzling sun. Unfortunately, this beauty is hand-wash only, so I will likely use this somewhere other than the kitchen (otherwise, my husband will for sure put it in the dishwasher), but I haven't decided what its purpose will be yet. Something I love about this subscription is that everything they send is ready to be gifted in some of the best packaging I've seen.

Solar Radiance Bookmark - Listed Value $12.00

Our last sunny product this month is a brass bookmark with a gorgeous, restful sun on the front. I am quite the bookworm, but I always find odd things to keep my page; this is my first official bookmark since high school! I am already putting it to good use on page 61 of Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens to prep for when the movie comes out later this year.

Prehnite - Listed Value $5.00

Prehnite is considered a "dreaming stone," which promotes the power of the dream state. I have been having some random, lucid pregnancy dreams that I have been thoroughly enjoying recently, so I can't wait to put this by my bedside to hopefully keep those dreams coming.

Verdict

Every month I look forward to unboxing this subscription, and for June, they literally sent me a box of sunshine. Every item this month was uplifting, and using the products from this curation this week has made a lasting impression on my moods. I love the bright gold necklace, the brass bookmark and the shower steamer, which I may have to stock up on. Each item was a pleasure to use, and I can't wait to see how they top this month's box in July! This month's box has a value of $114.99; that is a wonderful value for a $33 box.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

Looks like a great box this month from GP! I love cute/fancy spoons too! They had a teaspoon a year or so ago with a moon on the handle, and I use it daily with my sugar bowl for my coffee. I may have to get this one from their shop so I have a coordinating (not matching ;D) set!
